This is a true story of a woman who issued a cheque to buy a gift card from a spa. She did not have funds in her bank account so the cheque bounced.
A few days later, she went to the spa with the gift card to claim a massage. Of course she was apprehended, but she said that the gift card was given to her by her sister and she used a differentname.
Many people do not understand why she does this. Her father is an attorney, she drives a beautiful car, but this is not the first time she has tried to pull off small scams like this instead of buying them. It's not as if she could not afford them.
When she was apprehended, she did not even have her driver's licence with her.
If she is poor and had issued a bad cheque to buy food, then it is understandable and people will pity her and let her go without pressing charges. But she is definitely not poor.
All I can think of is that she has a type mental sickness, like people who can’t help themselves from stealing.
