New Life Sans Drugs

This is a true story that befell my unfortunate neighbor. They have four children, three boys and a girl. Somehow, two of the boys started to go on drugs when they were in their teens. Some blame it on the company they kept, some blame in on the parents' upbringing. Whatever the cause, it is almost a death sentence once one gets addicted to drugs.

They were sent to rehabilitation centers but when they were released, again they went back to the old company, and naturally, to drugs.

The parents should have sent them to Echo Malibu, which has a different approach to dealing with adolescents like these two boys, trying to recover from drugs, although Echo Malibu also deals with alcohol and behavioral problems. Enrolling them into a
adolescent treatment program would have been the best move.

The staff, well-trained and dedicated, is what boys like these need. The boys not only need someone to listen to their problems, but also a mentor who would guide them to a new life sans drugs.
