Is Google Search Getting Boring?

Well, despite everything that has happened lately, Google still reigns as the top search engine among internet users. This is evident in the traffic that comes my way from searching on the number one search engine. Although some people love it for its accuracy in search results, some people love its minimalist layout and fast loading.

However, if you have been using Google Search for ten years already like me, you will feel that it’s no longer appealing and its minimal color is just way too plain. Well, don't worry. Last month, I found a way to personalize Google and since then, looking up information on Google has never been the same.

Let me show you how!

Just go to http://www.groovle.com/ and you can see that there are two ways for you to personalize your Google Search page. You can use one of the custom made homepages where you just select the layout that you want or you can create your very own homepage with your own photos.

If you plan to create your own homepage, just upload your desired image with a maximum size of 1.5MB to Groovle’s server and you will be given a link to your custom page. You can also share your creation with other users of Groovle if you are so inclined.

Do note that Groovle’s personalized homepage will only work for Googles’ web search page but that’s good enough considering that most of us use the web search more than any other searches, right?

The Web Savvy Shopper

A friend of mine is a manager of an electrical and electronics company that allows people to hire purchase. He told me that sales turnover per month is more than a million Ringgit and I was very surprised. He told me that most people now are opting to hire purchase and so they tend to spend more and only think about meeting the hire purchase terms at the end of the month.

He told me that gross sales turnover is that high because sale of a sony HDTV would already inflate sales figures because of its price.

It's because of the price that web savvy consumers would go online to check out the prices, specification and possible stores that sell their desired products at a cheaper price. Price comparison is now made online before going to the store unlike the old days. It's because of this competitiveness that my friend says retailers need to always give their best in terms of quality of products and customer service.

Sharing Bon Jovi

The other day, I met up with a friend who is also a great Bon Jovi fan, perhaps even greater since he is older lol. Before going to meet him, I loaded my iPhone with my collection of old school Bon Jovi hits. Although my friend also likes the newer Bon Jovi albums, I don't. I prefer the earlier albums in the early days of their career.

Anyway, I loaded so many tracks to my iPhone and we get to share the music when we met up. Wow, we had Bon Jovi music playing though out the time we were together and it was fun.

Any Bon Jovi Fan would surely bob their heads when they listen to these rock songs. Me, I felt like dancing but that was no place to dance. Lol

Random Spitting

The other day, I woke up very early so I went to the garden and played with my monkeys for awhile. My monkeys live indoors but I take them out a few times a day so that they can get some sunshine and fresh air and to do their business.

So, I met a neighbour of mine. This man does not live here because he is the son-in-law of the old commander. I don't know which kampung he is from but he's so disgusting.

That day, he was down with flu, I think, and he had a bad cough. Do you know, he simply spit his phlegm on the grass in the compound of his mother-in-law’s house? I mean, come on, spit it down the drain or into the sink or whatever. Even though he did not do it in my garden, I was very disgusted. Just imagine the virus flying everywhere! Eeeeeee

If he had done it in my property, I would have been ultra mad!

Used Car Dealer Online

Although I have not bought a car before, I have accompanied my friend in search for his first car, a used car within his budget that will meet his needs and expectations. I was a tough shopping experience going from dealer to dealer.

On the other hand, if you are in Southern Texas, you would welcome the good news that you can shop for used cars easily at the comfort of your home. This is because Quality Auto Group has taken their Used Cars Victoria, Texas business to the web for the convenience of all.

Quality Auto Group accepts trade-in as well so if you have gotten bored of your car or just want to get rid of it, you are in luck! Quality Auto Group will also buy your used car even if you do not purchase a car from them.

A View From 11th Floor

I really like the pitch black sky, unpolluted one, of course. Yesterday, I had the chance to go up to the 11th floor of a building and it was a beautiful view from the window. I took the chance to shoot this photo. it could have been nicer if I could open the window but it was locked. I guess the management was afraid that people would jump from it.

This photo was taken with my iPhone. I also took a similar shot with the LG Viewty but it's with my friend now and he hasn't sent it over to me. If i do get it, I will upload here for comparison's sake.

Taking into consideration that iPhone's camera only has one option, i.e. SHOOT, this photo turned out quite well.

Radiation

Some of you may know that it's bad feng shui to have TVs and computers in the room. It is bad enough even if they are switched off but it seems like since most of us are subscribed to broadband already, we don't even bother to shut off our computers.

I think most of my friends have computers running through the night. Some even have desktop computers AND laptops on the whole night through and I am not even talking about bloggers who write sponsored posts. Our computers do not have a chance to rest at all. LOL

One friend is the worst. He has a TV and two fridges in his room. OK, I can understand why he needs a TV in there, perhaps a small one will do BUT fridges? Haha the fridge bar is too small for him and he's living alone!

Gift Shopping With Coupons

It's less than a month to Christmas. Are you ready with your gifts? I am not and I am getting stressed out day by day. My top question is always what do I get? And even if I am able to find something nice, I wonder if my recipient will be happy with my choice of gift.

I checked out the website of Coupon Chief a couple of days ago. I actually have known of this site for a long time and check it occasionally and more frequently lately as the holidays drew closer.

I have been thinking of getting a HP laptop for my dad. I know that I have been hankering for one myself for the longest time too but he needs the mobility a laptop affords more than I do. I have not bought it as it is quite expensive but now that I am able to obtain one of the 30% HP coupon codes, now is the best time to get it.

On the other hand, my mother would appreciate jewelry and I am so lucky to have found Sea of Diamonds coupons which could save me 60 - 80%. If you have not bought your gifts yet, do be quick as there's not much time left to shop!

Headache!!!

I am so stressed out lately, I have a headache almost every day. Well, if you know me, you know that I do not handle stress well and I do give up quite easily but what to do when there’s no one to help me out, I have to depend on myself.

Of course, ideally, I would have loved to get somebody else to do the dirty work for me and I would even be willing to pay a little professional fees. In fact, I already asked a friend to help me with my technical problem, failing which, to find someone to do it. Of course, I would be the one paying but in the end, I was too impatient and solved the problem myself. Well, there’s still a little problem which I can’t figure out how to go about it, though.

Just give me a little time to do some research.

Saving On Hotel Reservations

How time flies. It's the end of the year already and most of my friends are making plans for a family holiday like they do every year. Although I do not have any travel plans, my friends told me that they now prefer to plan their vacation online, make accommodation and flight reservations, especially if they are planning an international holiday.

The younger generation is more web savvy now and they do know how to compare prices on the internet. I was told that Hotel Reservations has plenty of rooms available worldwide at competitive prices and would be able to help us with our reservations even at the last minute.

I was also told that it is the trend now for vacation rentals and Hotel Reservations have these too! If you are planning your vacation, do yourself a favor and check what Hotel Reservations have to offer. You will be surprised with the savings you get!

Wi-fi

I told my dad that I need to use wi-fi so I have to go to one kopitiam. My dad told me to go to a hotel instead because they have free wi-fi and he said that he saw people using it with their laptop.

So I went there and I tried connecting but I could not. Then I asked one of the staff and she told me that guests who want to use wi-fi would have to "rent" a wi-fi card which costs RM28 per month. Yerrrr I didn't want to pay so I had to walk to the shopping mall that's opposite the hotel.

See, I am so cheap. Even though RM28 is cheap already, I still was unwilling to pay since I just wanted to use it for a while, 30 minutes the most. Did you know that it's RM60 in a posh hotel in Hong Kong and it's way more than that on a flight?

My friend told me that he used the internet connection on a plane and had to pay through his teeth so I asked him why did he use it then? He said the flight was long and he was bored LOL

Getting Aprons

When I was thinking of getting gifts for my aunt, a friend suggested that I get her aprons. Well, that thought never crossed my mind at all but now that she brought it up, I remember reading about a very popular website that sells aprons only. The designs were so popular that people even took them to sell on eBay.

For those of you who are out of gift ideas, I would recommend getting aprons as well but this will only be appropriate for people who love being in the kitchen most of the time cooking and baking.

I’m not someone like that, that’s why it never crossed my mind that aprons would be perfect for my aunt!

Social Networking For Sports Fans

One thing about Americans that we should try to emulate is their love for sports. Of course betting comes a close second but it's all in the name of entertainment. An American friend told me that there is a site called Oddsbreakers.com where sports lovers can participate in and share sports information or simply "sports talk" with fellow sports lovers.

The fun aspect of Oddsbreakers is that you make your sports picks and set a target price for them. You can also share whatever revenue that is being generated by your picks. This will depend on how accurate you are with your picks, of course!

Sports picks like football picks or basketball picks are not easy to play and winning does not depend on luck but skills and knowledge of the game. There are six major sports games here on Oddsbreakers.com so you are in luck if you are well-versed in any of these six sports.

Oddsbreakers has easy handicapping tools that you can use in your picks. Good luck!

.... ing

I had the chance to watch a movie last night at home. I've kept this movie for ages now after a friend recommended it to me. I didn't have time to watch it until my friend got fed up with my procrastination because he could not "discuss" the movie with me!

.... ing is one of those very common tragic Korean movies. It's just a short movie, like one hour 43 minutes, but the movie was fitted in nicely. This movie has only three major characters and it explores mother-daughter relationship and the love of a terminally ill young lady.

Even though this plot may sound simple, there is a slight twist at the end of the movie.

Also, before watching the movie, I already know that this is a sad story and yet I cried along with them. Yea, I know it's silly but the sadness portrayed was very real.

One thing about this movie, though, is that even though it is a tragic love story, there were random humour thrown in which will make us laugh out loud. I know it's not just me who will find the jokes funny!

Tailor Make Your Holiday

As usual, the end of the year is when everyone is in a holiday mood. Many of my friends have been making plans to travel but most of them are planning their holidays through the local travel agency.

If I could get away for a holiday, I would be booking through DialAFlight. This is a very exciting travel company based in the UK but they do offer some of the best holiday offers around the world. I always think that airfare and accommodation are the two things that we are forced to pay through our nose but DialAFlight specializes in cheap flights as well, for example, flights to Sydney.

What is special about DialAFlight is that to book a flight, all we have to do is pick up our phone can give them a call. Just let them know our requirements and one of their travel consultants will ensure that our custom holiday package will be as we want it.

Trade In Or Not?

As you know, I am using the Nokia E61i which I have not been happy with since Day 1. I know, perhaps I am fussy because when I read forums where users of E61i exchange notes, most people are very happy with their devices.

Anyway, a friend told me that Nokia is a lousy brand. Their designs may be unique but the bottom line is the quality and that is what matters especially when you are plunking down RM1500 - RM2500.

So, I have been thinking I would like to trade in and get an LG Viewty instead. I heard that the launch price would be approximately RM2200. I would be able to get a trial run from a friend's unit perhaps at the end of this month. The problem is that I would be able to get it cheaper in KL and I would have to let go my device here in my cow town. But I can't let go without having a new phone with me otherwise what am I going to use leh?

I know I will be losing about RM500. The mobile shop owner told me that cell phones are like stocks. The prices fluctuate but to me, prices of cell phones only go down. Have you see cell phones getting more and more expensive? She thinks they are set in gold meh?

A loss of RM500 is going to pinch *sigh*

Custom Built Swimming Pools

In my hometown, when someone has a swimming pool in his backyard, it shows his affluence but if you are in America, it does not accurately reflect so because swimming pools are now so affordable even middle class families can have it installed.

A couple of days ago, a friend showed me the website of a company, who are arizona swimming pool contractors and the pools that they built are so beautiful. They accept custom orders to fit the owner's lifestyle of shape of the backyard so that the pool will blend in with the landscape and not stick out like a sore thumb.

Also, this company is supposed to be the oldest in Mesa, Arizona. I don't know how large Mesa is but they are contracted to build 200 to 300 pools EVERY YEAR! That's a lot! I think before long, every home in Mesa would have a pool in the backyard. Haha!

Getting My Life Insurance Quotes

If you have been reading my blog over the past few months, you will notice that I mentioned about getting insurance for myself to be eligible for an income tax rebate.

Well, it has been months since I wrote those posts but I still did not do anything about that. I could not find the time to sit together with an insurance agent that a friend recommended. I was thinking that the agent should explain to me the benefits of different policies and then give me term life insurance quotes also because that is the one I am most interested in.

Anyway, I think that I will have to do it soon or I would miss the boat. I don't even know when the cut off date is to qualify for a tax rebate. I would have to ask around and then proceed from there.

It's The Holidays Finally!!!

What plans do you have? I have a few friends who are celebrating their birthdays at the end of this month and we may get together for a do or something. My schedule is so tight lately that I know I will be forced to forgo a movie ticket voucher that I was supposed to use this November. The thing is, the voucher is only good for one person so if I do go, I would have to go alone. That would make me look like a dunggu, right?

And since these friends of mine do not know each other, it means that I will have to entertain different goups of people. Aiyo... eat so much I am fat enough lor...

Headache time.... what present to buy wor????

Pops A Dent As Seen On TV

My friend Paul, this Paul is from KL and not the one in NYC, sent me a message the other day telling me that he heartache that he knocked his car door against a parking meter. I don't know how he did that but I can understand his heartache because his car is so new! I think he only took delivery of it a couple of months ago and is treating it better than he treats his girlfriend!

However, when he came to look me up over the weekend, his car door did not show any marks of the incident so I asked him about it. He said that instead of finding a body repair professional to do it, he tried using a dent repair solution that he bought from a hardware shop. He said that he is glad that it worked and he did not have to spend a small fortune at the garage.

Oprah Winfrey's Camel Toe

OK, I know this title will shock you but I read in a forum from a blogger whom I cannot link to who says that there are many people on the internet who are obsessed with Oprah Winfrey's camel toe. I have written about Oprah before months ago but I got zilch search engine traffic for that post so I am adding in camel toe this time as an experiment on internet traffic.

For this blog, my best keywords are stuff that you would not expect but I am not telling because hey, you could write about them and then hijack my traffic. Hahaha I am just trying to be funny but if you are a long time blogger you will know that trends in search terms change drastically. It's a very fluid game and we have to be early in publishing something about it. So yeah, maybe Oprah camel toe is a little old but this is my blog so let me humour myself, OK?

All these keyword play would be moot if G decides to de-index tainted blogs but we shall wait .....

Man Soap - Soap For Men!

I came across this product which I think is more suitable for me. It's the man soap. You know, I always felt funny when I am with male friends and they smell exactly the same as I do because we ended up using the same kind of liquid soap. Here is something for men to be clean, takes care of their skin and yet do not make them smell all flowery!

If you visit the website at http://www.mansoap.us, you won't even realize that they are selling soap because it is so macho. Once you enter the store, you will find that they don't have a variety of products to select from and they only have one goal, to sell soap to men! Check out the man-sized bar of soap. I am sure men would be so grateful to finally have a bar of soap large enough for them to grasp comfortably!

I wonder how this smells like!!

By the way, if you are buying, buy more than six bars of man soap and receive a free 2008 calendar!

Thanksgiving

It's Thanksgiving holiday in the west on Thursday, where it always falls on the second last Thursday of November in the United States. Well, although it is not a holiday here in Malaysia, I always take time off to reflect on the past months, from January onwards. I do this because by Thanksgiving in November, we pretty much know how the year has shaped up for us. Besides, November is a pretty special month for me. I may sometimes feel depressed slightly but then it just take small things to cheer me up.

Yes, this year I have plenty to be thankful for. I may have had a bumpy year which my friends could attest to because they have to put up with my complaints (sorry, just wanted somebody to LISTEN to me) but I also shared my high points with friends so I hope that makes up for the downturns!

I may not have a turkey to celebrate with but then I am so simple, I feel blessed when my monkeys, family, friends and myself are healthy and making good use of our lives.

What A Surprise!

A friend of mine told me that a mutual friend of ours have enrolled himself in a drug rehab center. I was surprised because I have know this friend for a long time but I never once suspected that he has a problem with drug abuse.

It seems that he picked up the bad habit after we left school no thanks to the new company that he kept. He subsequently did not mix around with the gang anymore but the bad habit stuck.

From what I understand, a drug habit is not easy to kick off. Heck, some people cannot even stop smoking! It is not impossible, though, but it requires a tremendous sense of discipline and I figure, a professional drug rehabilitation program. I heard that the best and most effective method would be going cold turkey but I am not sure if this is a good solution for every addict.

I don't know why a few of my neighbors caught a drug addiction but they too managed to come clean after going through drug rehab. That's why I know that it is possible to kick the habit.

To Migrate Or Not

I've been thinking for a long time now if I should migrate my blog to my own domain. The problem is that I would love to do it but I a, not sure how to go about it. I know that if I were to migrate, I would love to take my archives alone because I would not like having my old posts somewhere else on the internet. I would rather have them all accessible in ONE blog.

However, I am not sure if I would be penalised for having duplicated content. It's not as if I want to cheat or game whatever system.

The longer I think about this, the harder it is for me to uproot my blog. I now have over a thousand posts in this blog and I would love to take along at least 80% of my content.

And if I do manage to migrate my posts, what would happen to this blog? Would I delete it or leave it alone? I would prefer to delete it but I have permanent posts here that I have to keep.

So how????

Have You Made Christmas Vacation Plans?

I know a lot of my friends have already made vacation plans. Heck, it seems to me that they are only counting the days to their annual holiday the whole year through. I am not so lucky though because I am never sure if I will even qualify for any annual holiday. But before you report my company to the labour department, this is what we already knew about when we signed our employment contract.

Anyway, according to my friends who are heading out to Florida this holidays, it's the in thing to make reservations for Orlando vacation home rental. I am not sure I know exactly what they mean but it seems like home rentals will afford them plenty of privacy away from the holiday crowd and it is not even that expensive.

I sure hope that I could afford a holiday like that! I would feel so blessed if I could go on a weekend break nearby! *sigh*

My Complexion Gave Way Again!

Ok, so I went to bed at 6am for two days in a row. Wake up just before 8am, zombified. It's no surprise that I look like shit once again. My friend told me to ease up and it's not going to do my health any good pushing myself like this but how can I help it?

I used to tell people that we have to work out butts off when we are young, when we have the energy and stamina. Once we grow old, we can't work even if we need to. The spirit may be willing but the physical body may not. So then how are we going to earn our keep?

It is said that you should be not afraid of hard work but you should be afraid of NO work. I saw how desperate a friend became when he was laid off work for ten long months. After drawing a five figure salary for the longest time (he was promoted to General Manager when he was only in his thirties), and then losing his job suddenly, that was a very tough patch for him. Well, he did not have savings so he only has himself to blame. Extreme generosity was a great flaw in his character.

That’s why I told my friend that I CANNOT ease up. I just have t slog on and on and on.

Can You NOT Carry A Bag?

If you know me or have met me before, you would probably notice that I do not carry a bag. Well, that may soon change when I get my laptop and iPhone but they will be in the future.

Anyway, during lunch yesterday, one of my friends showed me the contents of her handbag because she said she cannot imagine NOT carrying a handbag otherwise where would she keep her two bunches of keys, lipstick and mascara, THREE makeup mirrors, tissue, cell phone, iPod, pen, notes and lots and lots of receipts.

Did you notice that once you start carrying a bag, you will find that you need a larger and larger bag to accommodate your stuff? I think that we should cut down on the items that we MUST carry with us at all times instead of buying a bigger and bigger bag!

Laptop Or UMPC?

I know, I have been meaning to buy a laptop for ages now and I did have the intention to get one when I went to a mini computer fair a week ago as a preview to the upcoming PIKOM PC Fair next month, only three more weeks to go.

Like I said, I did want to go and buy one BUT while I was there, I was distracted by two UMPCs. These ultra mobile personal computers are so small and yet functionable that I now wonder if it is a good idea to buy a laptop but a better idea to buy a UMPC.

Although the price for a UMPC and my current dream laptop is almost the same, I know that if I were to get a UMPC, I would have to compromise on performance and processor speed. On the other hand, getting a laptop, even those 12" ones would not be as mobile as an UMPC due to the size and weight.

I don't know, man... I wish I never had to make decisions like these! I think I am going to the Gila Sale before I go to PC Fair. *sigh*

Buildium's Online Property Manager

Have you ever wondered how some people can own so many properties in different parts of the world and not lose track of the minor issues that come with the properties like tenant occupancy, bills, rentals, assessments, accept online payments, search for bill by reference number, send out system emails, create work orders from maintenance requests and many other issues?

Buildium has a very good software called Property Manager Edition which can do all these and more seamlessly and suitable for any sized property portfolio.

My friend, Paul, has a few properties in different cities and he told me that he has trouble keeping track of them. Buildium Online Property Manager would be great for him as he would still be able to keep track of his properties even when he is travelling as this is web-based software.

Wedding Favors and Gift Ideas

Although giving wedding favors in a Chinese wedding is nothing new, my friend, who will be getting married this December told me that the items that she found at local stores are not special enough.

We went to check out Wedding Favors and Gift Ideas where there is a vast selection of wedding favors that any guest would love to receive. Weddings with unique wedding favors will surely be remembered for a long time.

If you are planning a wedding, this is the store to check out. There are plenty of ideas for you to pick up from, check out the most popular wedding favors and even personalized wedding gifts.

With the professionally written wedding guide, I trust that your wedding will be a smooth occasion.

Time For Oregon Mortgage Refinance

I read that it is time for many people who are living in Oregon to get a refinance. This is because rates just dropped. Many people take such an opportunity to take out an Oregon mortgage refinance for better terms so that they could save on interest and shorten the repayment period.

Those who would like to repay the same amount per month would get their term shortened but those who prefer to fork out less to service their remortgage would go through the same time frame but then the monthly burden will be significantly reduced.

There are many places that offer Oregon mortgage refinance but if you are seeking one then I think you owe it to yourself to look for one that will offer you the most benefits. As usual, it is very important for you to read the terms and conditions carefully first before signing on the dotted line.

The internet is a great source of information and I just came from the website of Oregons Best Remortgage and they have a pretty comprehensive collection of articles that we should read if we are seeking a remortgage. Knowledge is power!

Also, once you have made up your mind, you can apply online directly from this website. It is so convenient.

Which Movie To Watch?

Earlier in the evening, I thought that I would have time to watch a movie. I had so much time on my hands because I procrastinated on the work that I should do. However, even deciding on the movie to watch took me a little more time than necessary and by then time I went through my collection of movies, bam... gotta work again!

Arghh.... see, it has been such a long time since I went though my movie collection that I have even forgotten what I have and wasted time reading through the synopsis. Haha

And then I have so many Korean dramas that I would like to watch but then are all so sad and emotional. I am sad enough that I don't want to expand anymore energy on dramas lor!!

I hope that this coming evening, I will have the time to catch something. It has been a long time!!!

Fascinated With Maps

I am one of those people who easily lose their direction. I am not going to say that only females suffer from this because I know men do too! Anyway, there was once when I took a friend out sightseeing when he came to visit me from another city and we lost our way all because I could not recognise the roads. And we even had a map with us too. In the end, my friend took out his GPS and we managed to go back to his hotel. And to think that I was born and bred here! Shame, shame!

Although I am hopeless in map reading, my dad was a King Scout and he also served in the army once so he is fascinated with maps and we do have a cast collection at home. If I have my own home, I would like to have a world map on the wall of my study. It has always been my dream to stick in pin to the places that I have travelled to.

When I do have my own study, I intend to buy my map from a company that specializes in bespoke maps and mapping. I don’t know why, these just are different from the ones that we can buy from the shelves of the shopping mall!

Have You Adopted an Angel?

My sister told me that this Christmas, she has adopted an angel. I guess that after seven years in living in the West, one would naturally soak up the culture there. According to my sister, she was out shopping at the mall when she saw a Salvation Army booth set up there. She headed over and they said that they have angels up for adoption.

My sister when through a stack of cards with a child's name on each card and age. I am not sure if there are any suggested gifts on the card but my sister said that since it will be her first angel, she selected the easiest card. The age of her angel was written as 0 that means that she is not even one year old.

What my sister plans to give are baby clothes and other things that a baby would need. She would have to buy them new since she does not have a baby herself but that looks easy enough even if she is too young to know about. It is said that half the joy in receiving a gift is in giving it. My sister finds joy in shopping for the gifts and she has until the first week of December to turn in the gifts to the Salvation Army.

My sister says she plans to adopt more angels next Christmas.

I wonder if there is anything like this over here. When my late grandmother, a Roman Catholic, was still alive, we used to buy lots of stuff to give to orphanages and old folks' homes but we never gave them to an individual. So there's a slight difference there!

What Do You Think Of This Garage Flooring?

When my parents bought this home in 1970, they got it second hand. Over the years, the garage was the most neglected area of the house! What I don't like is the dark patch of spilled oil on the garage flooring that will not go away no matter how hard I scrub with industrial cleaning solution. I finally gave up!

This morning, I was talking to a friend who has just completed building his home. He told me that we could tile our garage floor. How come I never thought about that? Ours is just bare concrete flooring and perhaps it's the cement that is making the oil stains so hard to remove.

I was told that we could coat our floor with epoxy and if we follow the four steps correctly, our flooring will last a long time. There are also tiles made specifically for garage floors that come in various colors that we arrange the tiles to form patterns or designs. It's a place to showcase our creativity too!

Check out this image. It's so neat. My own garage is a far cry from it!

KLCC to PJ Hilton

Whoa, today, I spend the whole morning searching the internet for the best way to get from KLCC to PJ Hilton by LRT or monorail. It is so confusing. I found a couple of maps, of course but either the maps are of KL City or PJ "town". There was no map that crossed the boundaries, at least none that I could find lah!

What I wanted to know are the nearest LRT or monorail stations only. I sent a friend an SMS and waiting for his reply. Once I know these two points, I would be able to trace the route from the KL integrated rail map that I have downloaded.

But my friend lazy, last night went to wet until late, late and I bet he is still in bed now. If he is not then he is not replying to my message. So bad!!! GGrrrr

So there's nothing much I could do except to wait for his reply then only plan my route lah. Ggggrrrr sleepy pig!

What Makes A Good Christmas Gift

The other, my friend Marc, asked me what he should get for Christmas for his girlfriend and I told him to get her women's lingerie. Hahaha do you think this is a good idea?

I don't really know what level his relationship is with the girlfriend. I used to tell people that to give something as intimate as lingerie, they have to be at the intimate level too but then a friend told me that lingerie could serve as a hint to take the relationship in a step further.

I tell you, I may have advised Marc to get lingerie for Christmas for the girlfriend. Christmas is a special enough moment I think. However, if someone were to give ME lingerie for any occasion whatsoever, it would freak me out and I would run lol

Online Pharmacy

A friend asked me if I know where to buy diabetic supplies online. With grandparents who suffered from diabetes, I know how freaking expensive diabetic supplies could be because diabetes requires lifetime control and management.

I told him that I would need to do a search on the internet. I didn't do it but I remember coming across a site that sells home medical supplies and equipment much like an online pharmacy and their prices are very reasonable too.

However, to shop online, he would have to pay for shipping and handling charges and perhaps tax too. I hope that what he wants to buy will not be too heavy or it will not be worth the savings shopping online even if the prices are discounted.

Sour

Some of you may know that I won a prize in a contest in early October. Unfortunately, till today, mid-November, I still do not see it anywhere. I feel very bad that I have to keep chasing the guy to send it out already! Even though it will be sent from the United States, tell me that 1.5 months is not enough time for him to pack it and send it via courier. It's not as if I am asking him to bring it over physically, right?

You know when you are happy to win something by pure luck, you expect to receive the prize without a problem but then people just have to be difficult and make the whole incident sour. Even when the prize finally reached me, I am sure I would not be as happy as I could have been without all these chasing via email as if I were desperate for the prize. It's not as if I need the prize but I believe in getting what I rightfully won.

I even offered to fork out the shipping for expedited courier and he said that it would be US$130. So let's see what happens.

Scrapped Bottom

I guess when you have scrapped bottom, there is no where lower for you to go unless the sites are de-indexed or something. That would be awful but then it would be out of our control and there is nothing that we could do about it.

To everyone who is affected, now is the time for you to put your life back into perspective, put your priorities back into order and if you are so inclined, move your free hosted blog to your own domain. At least, you will be building something new even if you have to start from scratch since you have already hit rock bottom.

I know that most of us have been so caught up with blogging that we have neglected the more important things in life. Some of us neglected our children, family, work or friends. I know I almost totally lost touch with a slew of friends. They are not people who blog so they would not understand but then, it's not too late to reconnect with them.

I think I will be taking some time off. I have two movie tickets for me to use and I have friends who will be celebrating their birthdays at the end of the month. It will be great to get away from the stress.

Good Parenting

Although I am not a parent, I know that most parents, especially first timers, are only being a parent through trial and error. My aunt did not manage to wean my cousin, her first child, from drinking from his milk bottle even when he was seven years old.

On the first day of school, he took his milk bottle along. All the other students laughed at him when he took it out during lunch break and since then, he discarded the bottle. Haha sometimes it takes humiliation to change a person's bad habit.

If you are a parent, you may want to check out the resourceful and informative parenting site called Lila Guide. I am sure that although you think that you are the best parent on earth, there is always room for improvement.

Internet Slow Like Hell

I don't know if it's just over my side or it is Streamyx in general that is the problem. Over the past week, my internet connection has been so slow that I got a monster headache just waiting and waiting for my pages to load.

I know another friend who is facing the same problem. She called up Streamyx and was told that yes, her line was slow and they told her to troubleshoot using the normal steps.

So basically, they told her that the problem was on her side only. I did not even bother calling them up if that is the case. Who has the time to go though the motions when clearly the problem is with them?

Using my Celcom 3G line was not any better. One would think that with two internet lines, you will never be without internet access, think again. I think the problem is in the network or something since Celcom and Streamyx may share the same network.

Watching Boston Red Sox Spring Training

What I like about America is its sports culture. They are so huge in sports and have a favorite sport for each season and the fans are so supportive they go into a frenzy seeing their team win. Have you been to a home game? The crowd is crazyyyy, I tell you!

Spring is here again soon and Markus, my friend with a holiday home in Florida, has invited me to watch baseball this season in the City of Palms in Fort Myers, Florida. He plans to buy us a pair of Boston Red Sox Spring Training tickets as soon as possible!

He said that he has to get them early as they are always sold out very fast! He couldn't wait for me to be there and share his passion for baseball! I can't wait to be there myself too. I need that break.

Dowry

A friend of mine is planning to get married but the future in-laws are asking for $30,000 as dowry. Everyone is now telling him not to get married because the parents are not selling their daughter. They said that girls from ordinary families do not cost that much and that $8,000 to $10,000 is sufficient.

Then one of the friends said that this daughter must be like the family maid, doing everything for the family at home and supporting it financially so the parents need this much to cover their loss.

If going by this logic, I think that even $30,000 is not enough for my parents! I support the family financially, pay off their debts, give them pocket money and support the upkeep of the home and monkeys and work like a maid.

Ah, no wonder I am still single unless somebody can come up with a million dollars dowry. I think that the poorer a girl is from, the higher the dowry lol

One Good Love

I am sure if you have been reading my blog diligently, you would know that I have visited many online dating and social portals and even registered with some of them. They were mostly recommended to me by friends and family just because I am single.

This morning, I was told to check the online dating site called oneGoodLove which is specially for gay and lesbian singles. Now, visiting the site does not make me one but it's a chance for me to see something different, something new.

oneGoodLove is a place where homosexual singles get the opportunity to meet people who are like them and would like to create meaningful, longer lasting relationships and to dispel the myths that same sex couples are into a relationship just for sex.

If you visit oneGoodLove, feel free to take the personality test and see what it reveals about it. I did it just now and am rather pleased with the results.

Placement In Risk Management Jobs

Warren, who works as a risk manager, told me that risk management jobs are not easy to secure. One really has to proof that he could manage the funds and the associated risk.

I know I will never be comfortable working in such an environment as I never handle stress well. I think I will suffer from gastric every day.

However, for people like Warren who would like to advance in their careers in risk management, a good place to look is A.E. Feldman Associates. This is not your ordinary job site but an executive recruitment and placement site whose staff are very well-versed in the requirements of employers to fill the posts because they are specialists in their respective fields as well.

I mentioned this site to Warren, just in case he wants to upgrade himself by looking for a similar job with another company which could offer him better benefits.

A Little Worried

My sister has not been feeling too good for the past eight months. The other day, I wrote a post about her getting an endoscopy and she had to go under general anaesthesia for the procedure that cost her over a thousand US dollars, even with insurance and rebate.

Well, she told me that the doctors did not find any abnormalities. They gave her medicine which at first, she told me worked, but now she says she is feeling the same. She throws up every couple of days. This is not a good sign.

I remember during our school days, she would vomit a little of her breakfast out almost every morning. I am not sure what connection this has with her current condition if at all but that surely was abnormal as well....

You may know that a couple of years go, my cousin sister passed away suddenly from a rupture in her stomach. Ya, I know this is not genetics but that does not give me good vibes at all.

I pray that my sister will pull through this bad patch.

Find Avenues To Earn

Do you know that when my blogs tanked, I was told not to whine but move forward and look for other avenues to make money. Yeah, people who know me know that I am not afraid of hard work but am afraid of NO WORK. So, I think that I may just join up with my friend who is selling Sunglasses online.

If you remember, she did invite me to collaborate with her some months back and I turned her down because I am not well-versed in retail, especially something like sunglasses.

However, my friend told me that there will always be a time to learn and a time to put our knowledge into practise. She will show me how to procure Wholesale Sunglasses from the best sources, where to get them cheap and yet with good quality and customer support.

This is going to sound like fun. I'll be a boss. High time, I think. When is your turn? :p

Busier Than Ever

It's kind of weird that with all my blogs tanked, I thought that I would have more time on my hands to bring up my new blogs, network and visit all my long time blogger friends and even catch a movie or two but it looks like after two weeks, blogging has been as busy as ever.

Sure, we are writing low paying posts now and writing more too but then as long as the jobs keep coming, we will be fine. I am having a feeling of deja vu. It's just like the old days once again, a year ago.

I don't have a problem with that. Do you?

I Want An All Inclusive Cancun Vacation

I wrote in a previous post that every time I complain about how work becomes too overwhelming, my friend would say, "Let's go to Camerons." I don't want to go to Camerons!!! I've been there a couple of times already. There is nothing nice there and too many flies!!

Do you know, just now I browsed through a vacation site, the holiday resorts are so beautiful and the beaches are so inviting, it just makes one feel so relaxed and at peace with Mother Nature.

Next time he says to go to Camerons for a vacation, I'll tell him that I want to go on an All Inclusive Cancun Vacation and let's see what he says. Hah!! I bet he won't be inviting me anywhere soon.

Ideas On Gifts For Groomsmen

A friend of mine wanted suggestions on what I should get for his groomsmen when he gets married in January next year. I told him that there's plenty of time to shop but he wants my opinion. So I told him that I will get back to him later while I consult the internet first. I would like to check the trends in groomsmen gifts first before giving him an answer because it’s not as if I am well-versed in men's fashion.

Off hand, I can think of cuff links, ties, bow ties and perhaps leather wallet and belt set. Maybe it would also be a good idea to give engraved pens. I don’t know, I’m really hopeless when it comes to gifts for me, let alone on such an auspicious occasion as a wedding!

I think the best way is to just ask him to think about it himself!!!

11.11 Monkeys' Birthday

Tomorrow is my monkeys' birthday. They were born in 1994 so that make them how old? That means they have completed their 13th year, going on 14 human year already. As the days pass and they get older and older, I get scared and scared. That's because with both of them at the same age, I remember dealing with one sick monkey after another the past year. They have been doing fine lately and I am so thankful for that.

A friend asked me how come he doesn't hear me talk about my monkeys anymore. Well, people will only hear or read about them on my blog when they are unwell. So be kind and pray that you don't get to hear or read about them all that often.

So what plans do I have for them tomorrow? I don't know. My friend told me to bake them a cake haha! I don't want to upset their diet. At their age, what they could eat without problems ten years ago may make them upset now instead.

Perhaps I'd just give them a big hug and kiss and pray that they will live through the coming year without any event again. Dear God, please protect them.

Why I Prefer Indie Horror Films

Over the past year, I have watched a lot of Asian indie horror films. Most of them came highly recommended by a friend of mine who watches two movies A DAY. Sometimes it seems as if he wants to scare the shit out of me by asking me to watch a mild horror flick (according to him) that turns out to be totally grotesque and stomach churning, like My Teacher. Does he have something against me or something?

I don't know about you but I prefer to watch indie films, especially horror, compared to Hollywood studio productions mainly because I can sense the raw emotions that are being convey in indie films compared to the very sterile products from large producers.

This friend of mine told me to check out, in particular, productions from Red Scream Films LLC where all their horror films come with a twist, which is what I like. Part of being scared shitless by horror films besides the sound effects, screams, gore and fake blood is to be caught by surprise.

Now I know why it has been a few years since I watched a Hollywood movie that I remember. That's because they have "lost" the touch. On the other hand, I find myself recalling all the indie horror flicks from Asia despite them being in a foreign language, a language that I don't even understand.

Needless to say, I am so looking forward to Red Scream's releases. I am sure I will enjoy my dose of horror flicks more because they are in English.

Don't BUY!!!

Over the past day, two friends asked me on different occasions if they should buy the E61i or not. I said, "No, don't buy!!!" If they needed to ask, that means that they did not read properly the complaints that I have of my mobile device.

They said that my phone camera is good enough from the photos that I posted on my blog. Perhaps I should have showed them the ones that I already deleted. I didn't want to post those photos and spoil my blog, you know??

But then some people may have a lower expectation of a device than me. I was told that if I wanted a good camera from my phone, I should get a real camera and get the maximum features of a digital camera.

Seriously, the camera is only one of the things I am unhappy with. If you have the chance to use my device only will you know what I mean. Until today, I am not sure if it's unit specific, batch specific, model specific or firmware problem.

My device and I have a bad marriage. We know it's broken and yet we can't get out of it. Oh, well. I’m waiting for my iPhone or LG Viewty :p :p :p

How Does It Feel Like To Be Rich?

Do you know? Well, I have this friend who is the grandson of a very prominent local family travels all over the world collecting property which he claims are for investment purposes but when I look at his purchases, they look more like his own personal retreats.

Just now, I came to this investment site for North Cyprus Property and I suddenly thought of him. I wonder if he would be interested to own a property in the Mediterranean.

I read that the weather is so perfect most of the year and the good news is that the locals are English speaking so communication will not be a problem. Another added attraction is the BEACH!!! It simply just makes a perfect getaway!

Let me get him to buy a house there and then we can party there freely. Haha!

The Devil G

Apparently, the Devil G is still at work. Do you know that a friend of mine has all the blogs dropped just today??? Another blogger kena last evening too. Don't tell me that this will be a never ending loop?

I tell you, this whole process is so stressful that it is not funny anymore. Sure, it was something that all of us anticipated for half a year ago but when the tables are turned like that, I hope that this thing never existed at all!

Oh yeah, people were saying that perhaps there will no longer be any rankings, it will no longer be relevant and so on but then I still think that it's rather relevant and no matter how I try to deny it. It's not working *sigh*

And please don't come near me and tell me that your young blog is what what rank, OK? I will bite, though not as hard as I would have bitten a couple of weeks ago.

Gifts For His Baby

A few days ago, I wrote that my friend got married and recently had a baby without letting me know. I had to find out about it in a roundabout way. I am still hurt that he did not let me know about it personally. It's as if I am so insignificant in his life that he can't be bothered sharing the good news with me.

I told another friend about it and he told me that I should not blame him as he was most probably busy then but then what logic is that? I can't believe that he was so busy for the past year and a half that he could not drop me a message. And it wasn't as if we lost contact.

Anyhow, now that I found out about it, I am compelled to buy baby gifts for his newborn son. I may be hurt and angry with him but the baby is still adorable and since this guy helped me so much in the past, I am going to shower his baby with gifts.

Will You Buy Jeans Online?

Would you think that it's crazy to buy jeans over the internet? I normally would not buy them online because I would need to make sure that the jeans fit me perfectly first before buying no thanks to my odd body shape.

However, this morning, I stumbled upon an online store of a boutique that carries some of the best looking jeans I have ever seen. Yea, I know I live in a cow town but I do sometimes shop in the city too, you know? And I don’t see these nudie jeans at all. Now that I have seen them, I don't think it's such a crazy idea to buy jeans online anymore. ahaha!

The online store that I went to, Tobi.com, has nudie for men and women and although they do have a wide selection, navigation and browsing is so easy. Just place your cursor over the image of the pair of jeans and you will get an enlarged image without having to click open the page. Saves a lot of time, if you ask me.

Tobi.com also has this label called Seven for all mankind, or just Sevens, and they look like they really fit well and yet are comfortable too. HHmm it looks like if I have the chance to wear Sevens, I may not want to wear another brand name anymore.

Who Wants To Get Caught In A Jam??

My friend asked me if I wanted to follow him on a cuti-cuti Malaysia trip during this Deepavali. I tell you, I never liked travelling during long holidays because you will always get caught in the traffic jam.

Many times, we thought that we would start the journey earlier or later to avoid the traffic but it never fails that everyone would have the same thinking and then all of us would be caught on the road again!

There were years that we were obligated to travel during the holidays but then when we no longer had to, I never do it anymore. Of course, I love to travel, but I’d rather do it at non peak seasons. But then who will be free to travel with me when they have to report for work at the office from 9 to 5?

Shedding The Banana Image

Most of my friends and I are what people term as “Bananas”. We are Chinese yet we can't speak Chinese. Well, what can I say when we never learnt it at school, much to my regret. Now that I am in the working environment I know that it is a great disadvantage not to know a language as important as Chinese.

I saw this software on the internet called Rosetta Stone that apparently could help us master a foreign language easily without going to real classes. Not only can we understand basic words but also learn to read, write and speak it.

I think this is a wonderful concept for people who are thinking of picking up a new language. As you know, with a hundred and one commitments and responsibilities, we are not able to spare the time so with Rosetta Stone, we could learn it at our own pace at home.

It seems that Rosetta Stone is so effective and a proven formula that we could just about pick up any language easily and quickly. If you go through the list of languages offered, I am sure you will be amazed that you could be speaking a few foreign languages in a few short months if you use this software.

Watch Out For The New LG Viewty

This beauty is going to hit Malaysian streets soon. Watch out for it! It supports 3.5G but not wifi (don't know why they can't support both) and comes with a 5MP camera. I wonder how the picture quality would be. I tried to search on the internet but all I found were photos of the phone and not photos taken with the phone.

I also understand that this is an improved version of LG Prada though some say that it's not, it's entirely different. Anyway, just like the iPhone, LG Viewty also is a touch screen phone. Who wants to bet that all mobile device makers will come out with one or two touch phones within the next year?

I also read that this LG Viewty even beats the iPhone, perhaps in the camera department but I don't know. I hope that the iPhone's camera capabilities aren't that low. Can't be gua?? Please let it be better than the E61i, then!

Also, I wonder why LG, being a Korean brand, would want to release this device to the European market first when they should take care of their home ground first. That's what I think, anyway, but who is listening to me?

Now, where is my iPhone????

Adding Free MySpace Graphics

I am an active member of MySpace social networking portal. One thing I like about MySpace is that the members are all very enthusiastic about their MySpace profile page. I have not come across another social site where people customize their personal page so heavily. One thing about the internet is that things can get so sterile but when we have a community of people who add color and character to their page, it gives us a good feeling that there are real people behind the screens.

MySpace Graphics and layouts are some of the best search keywords on the internet mainly because MySpace members are always trying to spruce up their MySpace page as much as possible. This morning, I went in search cute MySpace graphics and found Kiwee.com, a site that provides free graphics for MySpace.

If you wonder why I even bother to add these smilies and avatars to my MySpace page and comments, well, the reason is that I want to stand out from the crowd, I want to be different.

I personally think that by adding an appropriate graphic to my text, I would be able to convey more of my feelings and thoughts. And I love to read comments that have one of two graphics. Don't you think that such comments are attention grabbers instead of plain text?

If you try adding MySpace graphics to comments that you leave, I am sure that you will receive a better response too. Try it. The original graphics from Kiwee are free after all and there are some that are specially made for MySpace too.

Can't Watch YouTube On My E61i

I have been trying to watch YouTube on my E61i but could not get the videos to play. I read that people are watching them on their mobile devices though I am not sure if they are using a Symbian Nokia as well.

I know that YouTube has a mobile site which is streamlined to display well on mobile phone browsers and I could access that but when I click to play the videos, I get an error message saying that my copy of the player is an older unsupported version or something like that.

I asked a couple of my friends who are using Symbian Nokias as well. One is using E61 while the other is using N73 and both of them tell me that they cannot get YouTube videos to play as well.

You may wonder why I want to watch YouTube on my phone. Well, for one,the screen is large enough and then it provides great entertainment while taking a dump at the loo or sitting in a public bus. At least these are the only two times that I can think of why I would want to watch YouTube videos haha!

If you ask me to watch them at the computer, well, if I were sitting at the computer, I would not have the chance or the leisure to do so!

Better Care For Seniors

Growing old is a part of life but with the advancement in technology and medicine, people are living at an older age but not necessarily 100% healthy. It is important that the elderly are well taken care of in the twilight of their years.

A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about an old folks' home being set up opposite my house. Well, that prompted me to search online for alternative care homes. I came upon the website called BetterCaring.com which is a site dedicated to giving better care to the elderly. According to the website, more than a million elderly people have no contact with people for months on end every year. I think that sometimes when the younger generations are caught up in life and work, the parents and grandparents get neglected. This is indeed a sad scenario.

Therefore, if you are in need of better care, or if you know of someone who does, check out the website of BetterCaring.com to look at your available options.

Have You Heard Of Brice Carrington?

Today, I had the fortune to check out the website of Brice Carrington. He is a sound effects man travels the world over to capture real world sound recorded with microphones. I think that he has a wonderful job but one that only people as creative as Brice could carry. I don't think it is easy to come up with original sound effects all the time.

Like I mentioned, I went to the website of Brice and I really like it. Personally, I am also in the midst of creating my own website and now that I have seen this I am going to start from scratch again! Check it out for yourself how original he is.

According to the biography of Brice, almost all the sound effects that he created have the sound of the African lion. I think that by now, it has become his trademark already. Many of his sound effects have been used in TV programs. I think that although I have not heard of Brice until this morning, I may have already been introduced to his work through the programs I watched!

Twins

Do you know of any pair of twins? I have always been fascinated with twins. A friend of mine who is married to a twin brother told me that her husband who lives in America with her has a twin brother who lives in Korea. When the Korean twin brother came to America for a visit, she was taken aback by how they look so alike.

Further, the eerie part was that the Korean brother also got married recently to someone the same age as my friend. PLUS these two ladies are pregnant at the same time and will be giving birth at almost the same time too.

You see, even though these two brothers live apart in America and Korea the both of them could be doing the same things without the other one knowing. I did not ask my friend if her sister-in-law looks like her, though! Haha

The scary thing about twins is that when one dies the other will lose hope in living o something and will die soon after. Well, that was what I have seen anyway. Scary, huh?

Payday Loans From Roberts Bridge Financial

This morning, I wrote a post on Payday Loans or also known as cash advance for Americans. Now, I just came across a company for UK residents only.

What this company, Roberts Bridge Financial, does is to match the borrower with a financial provider who could give a good interest rate and attractive terms. The loan amount could range from £80 up to £750.and could be applied online. This saves the hassle for the borrower since it cuts down on paper work and approval is so much swifter.

As a word of caution, always check and compare the terms of all financial loans first before signing on the dotted line. It may be too late to back out then. And remember, payday loans are supposed to be short term loans between pay cheques and should be settled as soon as possible.

Happy Deepavali!!!!

Here's wishing all Hindu friends and readers Happy Deepavali and to all non Hindus, happy holidays. May you all enjoy the long weekend.

I am sorry this is a little late. I didn't even remember until people here in my neighbourhood started playing with firecrackers and I thought to myself, "Ehhhh, what's the occasion??" I was annoyed as my monkey got terrified of all the popping sounds.

I only realised what a big occasion it is when I check the calendar but then I was too sleepy to write a post. Hah I don't know why I am so sleepy that it seemed as though I had some MSG but I did not even eat any outside food! heck, I haven't even have my supper yet thought there's a big siew pau sitting on my desk which my dad just bought from KL. Yerrrr it's gigantic I don't even know if I could finish it at this ungodly hour!

Visit Britain Travel Fair

I had the chance to attend the Visit Great Britain Travel fair a couple of weeks ago. I actually am not planning a trip anytime soon but since I was there to accompany a friend, I decided to check out what London has to offer. If you remember, my cousin in London has invited me over time and again.

I have always thought the London is an expensive city but what I learnt that day is that we could also save on hotels in London and this could actually be done if we go though a third party and not directly with the hotel. Booking through a third party agent also means that we could make last minute reservations without paying premium rates.

London, of course, has plenty of attractions to offer her visitors. I can remember the pictures I was shown of Kew Gardens and I must say that they are breath taking! If you are going to London, this is one of the places that you must visit. Another is Richmond where you will get to enjoy the sights of classic architecture.

What I would most look forward to do in London is to pack in a day or two of high end window shopping in the West End!

If you remember, my cousin proposed that we should make a trip to Manchester if I ever drop by to London. There's nothing in particular that we plan to do there but Jasmine wants to show me around where she pursued her tertiary education. Hotels in Manchester should be easier to book, I think.

If I do go though, I may as well plan a trip to Birmingham too. A friend of mine is there and It would be fun to give him a surprise. He told me that there are plenty of hotels in Birmingham and I should not have a problem finding one that meets my budget.

Payday Loans Without Paperwork

I know quite a number of my friends took out payday loans. It's a temporary measure to meet the little financial problems that sometimes come up. This is of course not the solution but like I said, it helps for the short term.

One has to be disciplined in repaying this payday loan with the next pay check or the interest would snowball and the figure would become overwhelming.

Did you know that there are Faxless Payday Loans that do not require the borrower to provide any document or paperwork and could be applied online? This is very convenient for borrowers as it cuts down on waiting time as well and approval is usually within a day.

You may wonder why there is no need to provide even some form of proof in documents. Well, this payday loans usually come with a slightly higher interest rate. Now, it is up to the borrowers to check out the terms of each provider and compare the interest rates first before committing to one company.

Power Switches Problem Or What???

I thought that I have the problem solved of the power tripping in my home but it's not solved at all much to my disappointment. Of course, now with the two units of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) that some people call "backup power", attached to my two computers, at least my computer do not shut off suddenly and automatically and my hard disks are not in jeopardy.

Of course, I know for a fact that the problem is still not solved and will need to be looked at as soon as possible. The UPS is just a temporary measure but where do we start looking?

A friend suggested that we change all the switches and plugs. Wah, this is going to cost a lot of money as we have so many. But even if they were changed, how would we know that the problem is in one of the plugs or switches??

That's why we are still not having anything done at all. Sigh!!!! Headache!!!

Exquisite French-Inspired Beds

Last month, when I was shopping for a bed for my late cousin's daughter, I noticed that French Beds are very popular. I understand that these were the IN thing once and they are making a comeback. I went online to check out the available designs of French beds in online furniture stores since we don't have a good selection here.

Just now, I had the chance to check out the website of Time 4 Sleep, a UK-based online furniture store that specialises in beds and one of them is the French bed, which they have newly expanded to their selection.

Time 4 Sleep has a wide range of French inspired beds ranging from single beds to double and king sized beds. I think that French beds are very feminine because of the exquisitely unique design and my impression is confirmed with the range of French beds on Time 4 Sleep.

If you are thinking of upgrading your bed, perhaps you should consider French beds.

Bored Out Of My Head

I have gone around and around my blogs updating my sidebar links and blogrolls, took of some badges that are no longer relevant and loaded a hundred and one plug ins. The only thing is I haven't found the best theme for my blog.

And the thing that is making me bored, apart from all these technicalities of hosting my own blogs, is that one of my blogs is down and has been down for HOURS!!! Tell me, how to get things done like this??

Apparently, the server is not down but Streamyx international link is rendering me unable to access my site. Dang it, just when I have the mood to get a few more things updated for the blog, it has to be inaccessible. Why is it always like this??? And then it kills my mood and I don't want to have anything to do with the blog anymore. UUrrgghh!!!

Adelaide Holiday

Adelaide is not a very popular vacation destination for Malaysians because they prefer Perth and Melbourne but my friend, Warren, a Malaysian residing in Brisbane, told me that Adelaide is comparable to the other two cities in terms of entertainment, arts and culture.

Warren has been to Adelaide a couple of times. According to him, the Adelaide hotels that he booked for his two vacations were within walking distance to places of interest and popular local restaurants.

Did you know that there is an arts festival held in Adelaide every March? If you are into arts then this is the time to visit the city. To ensure that you have your preferred accommodation, do make an early reservation as hotels in Adelaide may be packed.

If you are in Adelaide, you may want to ascend Mt Lofty where you will be able to see the whole city from the summit. Warren said the view is simply breathtaking that's why there are more than 500,000 visitors to the mountain yearly.

Warren, once again told me that I should visit him in Brisbane should I go to Adelaide. Brisbane accommodation may be fully booked sometimes so early planning is vital. He has already booked me to take a short trip to the beach and enjoy the Sunshine Coast. I may just take up on his offer!

Two More Pictures

Here are two more pictures of the food court that I took last evening. I just managed to upload them. What do you think? These are OK for blog postings but if you view them with an image viewer, they look awful.

But these will do when I show them to my friend who is not from my hometown and tell him what delicious food we have here even if it's a cow town. Anyway, I know I should probably take photos of the dishes but my camera is not good enough for that. I will get those when I have a real camera.

For now, I use my camera phone because it's so handy and I don't have to lug around an extra piece of equipment.

Wide Selection Of Teak Wood Furniture

A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to shop for teak garden furniture with a friend of mine who wanted my opinion on teak furniture for his garden. To be frank, it's not as if I am an expert in teak furniture but I know a good design when I see one and I could be the most discerning shopper you have ever known.

Anyway, after visiting many places and still could not find one that is suitable for my own garden, though my friend managed to get his, I went online as I am sure that there will be a better selection for me to choose from. I went to Teak Wood Patio Furniture where they have the latest designs in teak benches, something that I wanted to place in my garden for a long time.

We have a rather large garden and teak benches would be lovely. Moreover, the family could do little gatherings out in the garden when the weather is fine.

Buying Computer Table Online

I've been trying to look for good computer furniture for my two sets of computer, laptop, all-in-one printer, fax machine and extra monitors but it has been months since I went all over town and even surfed a few furniture sites but still could not find anything suitable.

I tried to get those DIY tables but they are made from chipboard and are not sturdy enough to carry the heavy equipment. Luckily, a friend told me about Versa Tables, a company that won an award for their school computer furniture.

They have so many different tables and racks and at very competitive prices too. This picture which I have enclosed is the table that I think would suit my needs the most. I think that it will fit just right into my room too.

Do you think it’s wise to buy furniture online? I think that it will be very heavy but I love this table and would not be able to get it locally. What do you think?

Rojak Stall

Last evening, while waiting for my mee goreng Indian style to be ready which I tapau, I was so bored that I took out my camera and took this shot. I also took other photos of other stalls. Maybe I post them up next time. These were taken in Tesco. Does anyone recognise the banner?

HHmm I think this rojak stall has changed proprietor, I am not sure but the people are all different. AND they have increased their price from $2.80 to $3 leh! GGGrrr

Win With EarthFrisk

A few months ago when I was first introduced to Earth Frisk, a Social Media portal, I did not join them as they were very new an almost empty. This morning, I had the opportunity to check them out again and I am surpised that they now have so many members.

I understand that members have the chance to win up to $2000 in cash and prizes in a very exciting contest which I think is a great opportunity for people looking for easy cash. There are many different chances to win, ranging from the most comments or submissions, best home page and also largest network of friends just to name a few.

Besides cash, first prize includes six months use of a virtual office that comes with real staff, office addresses, toll free telephone line, answering machine and other office facilities. What a great way to kick start your business, if you have one. It also makes a great gift if you know of anyone who needs this.

Property News From Miami

According to Markus who was in Florida, one of the most interesting new developments of residential properties is the W South Beach Condo. You see, Markus is an architect and he looked at the project from an architect's point of view.

I went to check out the photo gallery of the website at http://www.wsouthbeachcondo.com and I just want to say that the property is breath taking. I believe that many people would pay millions just to live that kind of lifestyle and enjoy their own private beach. And they also have a secret garden with private showers for residence. Hmmm I wonder how that looks like. This is certainly one of the most luxurious and prestigious properties in Miami Beach and you don't even need to go to Hollywood to enjoy such a luxurious lifestyle.

I wonder how much a unit would cost. Well, I don’t think there’s anyone I know who could afford it, whatever its price tag!

Deepavali Best

Yesterday evening, I went to a mall and saw this girl mannequin all dressed up in her Deepavali best. I thought it was kind of cute but I could not capture the glitzy costume on camera due to the low light. What a pity. What you see, instead, is a dull version of the real thing.

Once again, I am rather disappointed that my camera has failed me but no, I am not going to buy a digital camera since I only need it occasionally. Although it could take outdoor photos as you can see in the Yum Yum Restaurant photos, I still think that the image quality is lacking and the images could be sharper.

Oh well!

Buying Taps For Less

After about twenty years since the day we renovated our home, the taps are in desperate need of a replacements. With over thirty taps that are in our home, I was rather afraid that this is going to eat into my budget but my aunt told me that I could visit www.Taps4Less.com as not only do they have one of the widest range of taps, they are all very reasonably priced as well.

I actually only wanted to get the bathroom taps changed but since the prices here are so low, it makes sense to take advantage of it and get all the taps replaced.

I suggested to my parents that we get one of those glass and waterfall taps that are very popular designer taps and they are rather receptive to the idea.

Also, perhaps I should install one of the many beautiful baths in our bathroom. It's large enough!

I'm So Hurt

Today, I found out that a good friend of mine is now married. Well, not only married but already has a child who is one or two months old! I thought that we were friends so why must I be the last one to find out about it and through a third party too?

I am so hurt. I thought that friends were supposed to share their ups and downs and certainly this is an occasion to rejoice. And yet he saw it fit not to at least have the decency to let me know even though we did keep in touch throughout the year.
I am I am also guilty of neglecting my friends for the past year due to the amount of work I have but it's not as if dropping me an SMS would cost him too much!

BloggerWave Is Back

About a week ago, I could not log into my bloggerwave account and I did not know what happened. I requested for a new password but still faced problem in logging in.

Do you know that I have joined BloggerWave since the beginning and despite the problems that other members faced I never had a problem before. Although I haven't got a lot of jobs from them, a job is a job and I welcome the extra opportunity.

If you have not joined BloggerWave yet, why not try it out? They plan to expand their advertiser database soon so expect more jobs from them. Although BloggerWave currently do not have too many jobs, with every job they offer, they have a few hundred slots up for grabs so there are plenty of chances to go around. There's no need to fight! They even pay a handsome price per post too without the silly requirements.

Well, you just got to register to know what I am talking about!

All Types Of Cards

Are you amazed that there are so many different types of credit cards to cater to different requirements of consumers? There's a card for just about everyone so there is no excuse for people not to own a credit card. However, I personally prefer to use debit cards because of better benefits. Also, if you haven't got a credit card yet, please know that ownership of credit cards come with great responsibilities.

If you just visit Credit Card Search Engine, you can see that there are just so many different cards from Gas Rebate Credit Cards, cash back reward credit cards, airline miles credit cards, sports rewards credit cards and so on.

My personal favorite is the cash back credit card. Cash rules! Which is your favorite?

Male Models - Gay Meh??

I was chatting with a friend last night and I mentioned that my cousin brother was a male model and straight away he shot back, "Gay, ah???" Since when are male models gay? I never heard of this before but I concede that gays are usually slightly better looking than straight men. I don't know why but it could be the hormones haha!

My cousin was forced to give up his career as a male model when he graduated from law school and became a practicing lawyer. From what I understand, professionals are not allowed to dabble in the entertainment field. Since my cousin decided to be a lawyer and not a law graduate, he has to give it up.

Anyway, now he is no longer a male model or even a lawyer but a consultant. I think that he could still be a male model because he still has the looks but who would want to take the advice of a model consultant? Haha!

Profiting Using Iron Condor

If you have been following the options market lately, you will know how volatile the market is. Seriously, I dare not touch anything but stay on the sidelines to watch as I cannot afford to lose. However, I have friends who are still dabbling in options and I asked them if they are not afraid of getting burnt. They said that they are investing using
iron condor where they are holding four different options with different strike prices which will help them limit their loss, if any.

I was told of an options trading newsletter from Condor Options which provides valuable information to options investors and traders on the options market and give tips and advice on how they could leverage their positions.

According to Condor Options, they have a proven formula where investors would turn a minimum of ten percent profit every month with just a commitment of ten minutes per week using iron condors.

To subscribe to this newsletter, it is $139 per month. However, you will receive a 10% discount if you subscribe to 6 months or 20% discount for a twelve month subscription. I think it is well-worth the money for a proven method.
