General Hospital Soap Opera

I admit to being a soap opera addict, watching a few soaps every evening and following the lives of my favorite actors and actresses from the idiot box. I know I sound pretty lame but those were the days! I now only watch General Hospital.

I recently discovered this website called Soaps.com which is all about soap operas. As I only watch
General Hospital, I find that Soaps.com has a comprehensive coverage of the show.

I like it that they are VERY up-to-date. Sometimes I may miss a show but I can always stay in the loop with Soaps.com and the curious me will ALWAYS read the spoilers! I think it makes watching the show so much more exciting!

In Star of The Week and Picture of the Day features, Soaps.com puts the limelight on actors and actresses who may not have such a big role to play sometimes and I think exposure like this will spur on these actors.

Soaps.com is my source of General Hospital news. Who needs others when everything is already covered here?

Recruiting By Professionals

When Paul complained to me that his brother brought him workers that failed to deliver and instead ran off with his money, I suggested that he utilize the services of professional recruiters. This is already the second time, does he want a third?

Last week, he updated me that he is very happy to have found a reputable and affordable recruiter who managed to get him people with excellent credentials to fill up the vacancies seamlessly.

Paul said that he should have used this service right from the start and not depend on recruiting by word of mouth where there is no way to do a proper background check.

Google Finished Dancing Already

So, my Google Page Rank has finally settled down, unchanged from my previous Page Rank of 3. I'm not even surprised because I know that a Five is a fluke. That's why I didn't even take any higher paying Opps.

A three or a five doesn't make a vast difference to me. If it means a lot then I would have went all over the internet making friends with fellow bloggers but that's not my intention.

My blog was set up for me to express myself. I don't even talk that much in the day, so this a mode for me to keep my mind alert. It's like talking to myself. If there are readers and if they can connect to my posts, hey, that's a bonus. If not, no worries, life goes on.

When I first started this blog, I made it a point to post once a day. Then there was once where I took a three-week hiatus. It s a trend to take a hiatus once the blog is a few months old Haha!

But then I started to write sponsored posts and I am writing at least two original posts on most days. However, it's not surprising that despite having two original posts per day, I have lost some readers, oh well.

Utilizing Mortgage Calculators

When my sister decided to take the long term commitment of buying a home in Tennessee, one of her biggest challenge was finding the lowest mortgage rate available to her.

Researching for the best
Mortgage Rates takes up a lot of time but with the help a Mortgage Calculator, she managed to find a good rate.

Actually, there are many types of Mortgage Calculators. There's the Mortgage payment calculator, Mortgage Loan with Interest-Only Calculator, Mortgage principal calculator, Mortgage length calculator, Cost per Thousand Calculator, Affordability Calculator and Tax benefits calculator.

A first, my sister was confused with the many calculators but upon further reading on mortgage research from PersonalHomeLoanMortgages.com, she managed to use the appropriate calculator.

Cute Baby Gifts

After sending new baby flowers to my colleague and her new born baby, we decided that is not enough, now that she has named the baby. So off we went online to buy baby gifts.

Shopping online is ever so convenient. A few of us crowded around a computer and just decide what to buy and what not there and then. We did not even have to suffer from the traffic or the lack of parking spots.

We chose to shop at The Nest Baby Shop because it offers over 200 of cute baby gifts that could be personalized at no extra cost!

Dating a Millionaire

How many people dream of meeting and dating a millionaire? I guess most of us, but at the same time, to most of us that remains a dream only. Is it even possible or are there that many single millionaires around?

It is not that difficult to
Date A Millionaire, actually. The difficult part should be, is it easy to marry a millionaire? But first, we have to know them, date them and then hook them haha!

I also just found out that there is a social website that is dedicated to our quest in meeting and dating millionaires. Let me try it out first and then update you if it works or not!

Dream Diary - 06

You know how I've only managed three hours of sleep every night since three or four months ago? Well, last night, I managed four hours. And.... I had a nightmare. Usually for a three-hour sleep, I don't get any dreams at all. My friend has remarked that "Damn dreams also not here yet!" which is true. If not mistaken, most vivid dreams only come to us in the 4th to 5th hour of continuous sleep.

Last night, I dreamt that my OTHER monkey went into fits. I tell you, that really freaked me out.

All along, I know that it MAY be dangerous to my OTHER monkey to keep them both together. One has been suffering from seizures since nine months ago, and we don't know if it could be contagious or not.

It is a fear that I have been carrying with me all these years, the fear that keeping them together may harm my OTHER monkey, but what can I do? They are brothers and have been together all their lives.

I don't have the heart to separate them even if there are takers for the sickly monkey. This is where most people do not understand me. They don't get how I can devote myself to "just an animal". A friend commented that to understand me, one must understand my monkeys. Well, they must know that my monkeys come first, no matter what.

So in the nightmare, I was crying so hard. My poor monkey was in seizure and he was so pathetic looking I thought I would lose him.

Recently, this monkey has me so stressed. He's not in the best of health. Maybe that bout of stressed triggered this nightmare. I don't know. I hope this is only what it is: a nightmare.

House of Tea

I am a tea-drinker while my mother is a coffee lover. I have told her many times that tea is more beneficial to our health but I guess she is already addicted to the caffeine.

Although I drink all kinds of tea, I am really into organic green tea, especially those from Japan. It was first introduced to me by my Japanese expatiate neighbour and I have since then tried to drink only organic green tea.

Grand Tea Stand can be considered as the House of Tea. It stocks all kinds of tea that you can think of, from the common to the rarest of rare.

Tea from them is always quality guaranteed as they have excellent packaging that ensures tea are not destroyed by its two enemies, air and light.

Since I was introduced to Grand Tea Stand, I never need look further.

Help Your Teen Succeed In High School

Although I may not have kids myself yet, I have seen the problems that my friends aer facing with their teen children. Suddenly the children prefer their friends over their parents and the parents are left in a blur as to what is happening in the lives of their children, especially in school.

I came across a free teleseminar which I believe will be useful to parents like these.

The teleseminar is on what parents can do to help their teenagers succeed in High School.

The topics discussed during this seminar will be the importance of parental involvement during high school years, how to determine if the teens are coping well in classwork, what to do if they are not and should a tutor be hired, time management and communication with the teachers

Even if one doesn't have a high schooler yet, participation in this teleseminar will avoid potential problems with your soon to be highschooler.

Sign up for this free teleseminar for parents now as places are limited.

You will also be e-mailed, FREE, an mp3 audio file of this teleseminar and transcribed copy of the interview, in case you are not able to call in at the last minute.

Claiming you access now, you have nothing to lose but all to gain for yourself and your children.

Is Breast Size THAT Important?

Ok, here is another of my weird question.

I'm asking because it seems like a guy naturally is into well-endowed girls, whether he is a boob-guy or not. So the first thing a guy wants to know is always, "What is her bra size?”

It is as if boob size is almost as or even more important than a guy's own lil brother's size.

Tell me, is my observation correct or am I skewed? Some guys will deny this but even when their partners have smaller than or Asian-sized boobs, these guys will still carry secret fantasies of being smothered by larger boobs.

Aaahhh tell me I am wrong or maybe I am mixing with the wrong crowd?

Juicy Celeb News

Some of you may know that I have a celebrity blog, besides this. One wonders where I could source for all the yummylicious news, well, I got them from Perez Hilton, the Queen of all media. He is always on top of the curve with all the celebrity juice.

If you think that Perez Hilton is an odd name, that's right, it's a spoof of Paris Hilton, geddit?

I'm off to unearth more celebrity gossip now!

I Want Free Jewelry :-( :-( :-(

I recently came across a website that is giving out free jewelry. Unfortunately, most of them are sterling silver pieces. For international shipping, we only have to pay US$8.99. These pieces are usually retailed from US$49.99 to US$69.99 and we can have it for only US$8.99.... you say cheap or not???

US people cheaper, pay $5.99 only. That's like, ONE SPONSORED POST.

The problem is not the cost or mode of payment (can pay by PayPal) but it's myself, can't wear silver or they will tarnish pretty quickly. Why am I so stupid wan? Got cheap, beautiful jewelry also cannot wear :-/

*sigh* If only they have other pieces that are NOT sterling silver!

I always go to have a look at stalls selling silver jewelry in shopping complexes but I never buy any, because I didn't want to waste money. What for buy when they will turn black within one week?

Actually I do wear a necklace 24/7 but it's white gold. So sometimes when I visit these stalls and talk to the stall keepers, they remark that I can wear silver, since I can keep my necklace so shiny muahahaha!

A Wedding In San Diego

Felix, my cousin, was in California on a business trip and also to attend the wedding of his internet buddy. The wedding party was a blast. There was excellent contemporary music provided by a San Diego wedding band.

Felix told me that this band is very popular in the Southern California area and they are very talented, playing all genres of music like jazz, old school, funk, classical, Brazilian, disco and many other genres and providing professional live music from inspirational, wedding to enchanting solo performances.

He brought home photos to show the family, but it's not the same as being there in person.

Wrong Goals?

Paul told me that I can be whatever and whoever I want to be even if I do not have tertiary education. He knows I have a major hang up about it and tries to make me believe that IT DOES NOT MATTER. I try to believe him.

He told me to set my goals and work towards them step by step, which I am doing and in the process am losing sleep and causing myself to look like a zombie. And he has the cheek to remind me not to grow old so fast!!! GGGrrrr

Come to think of it, I have set a wrong goal. I am a girl and I should have spent my time sleeping and making myself look as beautiful and sexy as possible and try to hook the best fish in the sea.

Only those with deep pockets and about to die need apply! *sigh*

A MotorHome Home

I came across a really innovative website during random surfing just now. You may wonder HOW innovative and why do I say this. Well, these guys have used video interviews for their FAQs!

How many websites have we come across that uses plain ol' text, right? This one is in video. You must watch it because there's a might good looking guy over there called Ross *ahem*

Where is the site?!? It is the website of American Motorhomes in the UK, http://www.travelworldrv.co.uk

At first, upon reading the front pages, I did not know what RV means. After accessing the video FAQ section, I found that RV simply means "recreational vehicle", which includes motorhomes.

RV actually is an American term and now gaining popularity in the UK. RVs were first manufactured in America in the 1950s.

Video FAQs like this are easy to understand and straight to the point.

One of the questions asked was, "Who are the buyers?" It seems that there are people who are in the motorsports industry and there are people who buy a motorhome for weekend vacations and there are people who SOLD THEIR HOUSE TO LIVE IN IT! Woot!

It would be awesome if my parents sold our home to buy one of these!

Valentine's Day Flowers

With still three weeks to go, my colleague has sent valentines day flowers to a girl he admires! I told him it's too early but he did not listen to me. He went ahead and bought a beautiful bouquet online. Yes, it is very easy to send flowers now thanks to all the online florists who are able to deliver fresh flowers on the same day to most cities.

Moreover, he said that by just clicking his mouse, there are so many types of floral gifts to choose from and they are mostly within his budget too, so why not?

He even said that he loves the customer service accorded him and he will be buying more gifts for his mother and female friends this Valentine's Day. Awww that's so sweet of him.

Riding the Fuel My Blog Bandwagon

When I first heard of Fuel My Blog, I knew that it's gonna create some online waves, because it's free pixel advertising for blogs. Do you remember the college student who became an instant millionaire from selling pixel advertisement? The owners of Fuel My Blog are bigger than that! They are giving us Free pixel blocks to advertise our blogs for at least five years!

Fuel My Blog is working on getting a radio show where every week, a blogger will get to talk about his/her blog and any post that he/she wants to discuss. Isn't that great? Can you imagine talking about your blog live on air and tuned in by the world? Can't imagine that happening in Malaysia, unless you are Jeff Ooi or Rocky Bru.

I've got insider's news for you. The radio show is just the tip of the iceberg. There MAY be a TV spot for Fuel My Blog too. Fancy being on TV? What happens there, I do not know. Even if I knew, I would not tell because you're supposed to find out for yourself by reading the Fuel My Blog blog aha!

Senator John Edwards, PayPerPost and Algoco have joined the bandwagon. So what are you waiting for? Hop on for the ride of your life!

A Fresh Perspective On Legal Issues

My friend Paul was recently thinking of taking his contractor to court. Previously, I wrote about how his contractor ran away with his money without doing any work. So he went to consult Simmons, Jannace & Stagg in New York City. This is a very famous law firm that practices in New York, Connecticut and New Jersey.

Paul told me that this is one of the best law firms he came across. They really listened to what he wanted and try to get the issue resolved in a non-traditional way. They gave him a fresh perspective on looking at the issue at hand and finally, it was resolved in an efficient yet cost-effective way and without going to court too.

Christina's IVF

A friend of mine, Christina, had been married for more than ten years and was still childless. Maybe it was due to pride or embarrassment, she and her husband were reluctant to consult a specialist to check on their fertility.

Christina even told me that they have decided NOT to have children due to their late age, but I know that they do want children as children are God's gift.

Actually, there are so many causes of why a couple is not able to have a child, but these two affected people must take the first steps to find out the problem, then only can a solution be applied.

One day, Christina and her husband went to see the doctor. Both had to undergo fertility tests and it was determined that she requires In Vitro Fertilization (
IVF). The procedure was not too complicated and it was pain-free.

Her doctor adopted the blastocyst transfer to reduce the risk of multiple pregnancies and to achieve the highest possible rate of a successful pregnancy.

Christina did get pregnant and was later blessed with a beautiful baby boy, thanks to the doctor who maintained the highest and strictest industry standards and utilizing the most advanced techniques.

It was such an uncomplicated procedure Christina wondered what took her so long to seek treatment.

*Sell* Call Caused Me Much Missed Gains

I sakit hati for missed gains. Last month, I was forced to make a Sell call as I have post dated cheques to meet and I had to give allowance for my cheque to clear to settle that. Wah now one month later, my share raised another RM1 each.. and I had so much there. :( :( :(

I wouldn't say I lost but I did missed a lot of money. If I had won that extra RM1 per share and still holding on to them now due to the wide margin, I can write less 200 ads per lot!

Before selling, I told myself, "OK, I need this money next week. Do not yearn for the missed gains no matter how high it raises tomorrow or next week or next month."

No matter how I steeled myself, I still feel it's a pity to be forced to sell. *sob*

Arrgghhh frust factor number one!

Eyeing Professional osCommerce Templates

Someone I know, but not that well, offered to design an e-commerce website for me last week for free. He showed me a demo page and I was quite taken in. However, I a rather skeptical since this involve various payment modules and security certificate. I was not sure if he was up to it. I did not relish the thought of having agitated customers on my hand.

However, I was curious about him offering to do it for free. Is there free lunch in the world? Off I went online to check out his competitors. To be frank, I rather have a third party design my website rather than somebody I know. I don't know why, I don't like people to have a hold against me.

I came across osCommerceCafe.com. This is a highly professional web designing company. There are currently seventy designs available and they promise to add more to the pool. I love their designed and I am so excited I already bookmarked them.

What I found that osCommerceCafe.com only charge us $89 for a three-month membership and during this time, we are free to download the templates to our hearts' content.

$89 is a really reasonable price for these professional
osCommerce templates for my site.

I think this is a really flexible option for me who have a very low budget. It is way better than other sites who charge per design, which is very ridiculous if you ask me.

The current seventy available templates are spread out over nineteen categories from Seasonal to Computers to Fashion to Flowers.

I really like themed templates as they are able to reflect our general products better and will capture the interest of the browser and convert him into a buyer.

These high quality templates will most definitely do that and more!

IT Chargeback Solutions

The previous company I was with had a very bad management system because we had to wait for decisions from our headquarters which was in another country, on another time zone and we all know that in the IT field, every nanosecond costs money.

Our accounts were in bad shape so we employed the services of Acorn Systems, a profit improvement company. With their
IT chargeback software, they could pinpoint the exact problems that we face.

Based on their findings, we could find solutions for each and every problem area as well as improve performance of money making areas to bring the company into profit again.

Tax Filing Made Simple

It is the time of the year again to do the taxes and my sister is feeling harassed again. Since moving to the United States, she is very afraid of the IRS because she says they are very strict unlike the one in Malaysia. Although her annual pay is too low to be taxable, she is still required to and in her forms and payment, and then wait for the money to be returned. Tell me, isn't that rather ridiculous?

It is said that when in Rome, do as the Romans do. And my sister, being a foreigner, does not really know how to submit her forms correctly. She hired a company to do it for her annually, and it costs her quite a bit too.

But hold on, this year, I can tell her about
eSmart Tax Online Tax Filing Software which is an online tax filing software for Federal and State tax preparation. It includes free e-file and printing but most importantly, it has been tested and approved by the IRS.

This is not only easy to use, it is very affordable, reliable and some of the filing is free too! What more can a girl ask for? By using this eSmart Tax Online Tax Filing Software, one out of three users will be able to complete their tax returns in less than thirty minutes.

My sister, being foreign has other forms to fill, would be happy to know that the eSmart Tax Online Tax Filing Software is able to accommodate her since the software has all major tax forms and tax schedules.

Although the filing is done on the computer, after having e-filed he returns, she will be able to print a copy of the return for record purposes and this feature is free until 10/15/07. What an added bonus!

My Blog Is Accepted by TLA!!!

I received an email from TLA this morning that I can now sell and publish text link ads here. Previously, I could only be an affiliate and refer people but now I can publish!

Wait a minute, I don't know if I should be happy to have another source of revenue if I managed to sell my links, that is. I know that my blog is accepted only because of the PageRank fluke I received thanks to Google. It's no fault of mine, why should I fee guilty?

Anyway, I don't know if should implement the code. It requires me to upgrade my template which I am VERY reluctant to do. I read that it comes packaged with lots of problems, and one cannot insert Adsense or banners in between posts, like what I have now.

I seriously do not have time to meddle with the codes. If I have spare time, I would have spent it doing up my
Blank Canvas but as you can see, it's still bare *sigh*

I wish the new template doesn't bring so much headache. I am as non-techic as can be :(

Sending Flowers Online

My friend Paul wanted to give a surprise to his colleague by expressing his true feelings. He asked for my opinion on what he should do. I figured that a safe bet would be to send flowers online since 83% of people love receiving flowers unexpectedly. Well, I hope that she falls into the group of 83%!

Furthermore, I know that Paul would be too shy to go into his local florist to pick a bouquet of flowers so browsing online florists would be more comfortable for him.

Paul told me that he is amazed by the range of gifts that are available at FlowerShop.com. He is sure that these are not sold in his city and he really likes the personal touch that he received from FlowerShop.com despite the fact that the purchase was concluded online.

Sending flowers online is so easy, I expect the girl to be receiving many more bouquets in the days to come!

The Belisi Story

I have long been inspired by Peter Belisi's success story after reading his article, Belisi - How it Started, from tending bars in Palm Beach to venturing into the fashion world via men's ties to being one of the noted fashion designers.

I like his innovative mind, to come up with the idea of starting a luxury line of fashion accessory is a bold step to take, what with little capital and of course without room for failure.

I understand that part very well, being from a background of urban poverty where every cent counts and there is no margin for me to fail. I have to do everything with extra care because I really can't afford to fail, unlike people who can go by trial and error.

I like to think that Peter Belisi is a new age designer. He brings fashion to the people. He blogs on fashion for men and women and takes the trouble to educate us. His blogs do not spell "Sell Belisi" only but each article is written with care.

Also, for every item that is sold, part of the proceeds goes towards charity. This alone makes him stand out from his competitors.

I know that Belisi will be a far bigger name in the near future with his non-conventional approach towards his business. I would like to see a man like him go further than ever!

This Is So Creepy!

I read that the Korean actress/singer, U-Nee, (Hangul: 유니, born Heo Yoon (허윤, 許允) and stage named Lee Hye-Ryeon (이혜련, 李慧蓮), that many people mistook for Altantuya, the Mongolian who was murdered recently, has commited suicide on January 21, 2007.

She was born on May 3, 1981 so that means she was only 25+.

I have always believed that the beautiful die young, whether self inflicted or through sickness or accidents. I guess she is of no exception.

It's best just to be a guy/gal next door. Not over smart, not over beautiful and live a peaceful life!

Valentine's Gift Basket For Mom

I was told me that Valentine's gift is not only for lovers. We could even give it to people who mean something to us. So off I went to GourmetGiftBaskets.com to check out the range of gifts available. This gift basket website is #1 on Alexa's Official list, so they must be doing something right.

It is fantastic to see the
Valentines Gift Baskets that are available from as slow as $34.99 only, and to think that these baskets are filled with the finest products from the best orchards, vineyards, and cheese makers in the world. It's great to note that their prices mighty affordable for most of us.

I think I will be getting a customized basket for my mother this Valentine's Day!

My Source of Receiver Reviews

My cousin deals in audio video equipment and installation of Home Theater systems for his clients but when I ask him about the latest in the industry, he would rather I read up from the internet. That's how I came to know of AudioRevolution.com. He said, I can read from there so much more than he is able to tell me.

I go to AudioRevolution.com for reviews of receivers. Although their make and models are not extensive, I do like the way they review the receivers and each review is very comprehensive.

It's Less Than A Month to CNY!

And what have I done? Absolutely NOTHING!

The closer it is to Chinese New Year, the more stressed out I become. I need to clean up the house, which means, cleaning seven ceiling fans, ten window frames, five wash basins, two bathrooms, the furniture, mop the floor, wash linen and rake the garden all by myself.

Not sure if I am up to it. As each year passes, I can feel my energy level dropping. If last year I could complete certain tasks in a time frame, now I find that I need long hours for the same job. Not a good sign, eh?

And I need to buy new clothes! It's been years since I had any new apparel for CNY. I know of people who had fifteen freaking sets of clothes for the fifteen days of Chinese New Year! But to accommodate my new clothes, if any, I'd have to off load clothes that are in my closet. Clothes that are in good condition but since I never wear them anymore, I should give them away.

I read that if your clothes are in your closet for three years without you touching it, it's time to let go because if you did not wear it for three years, you'll probably never going to wear it anymore.

I need to buy New Year goodies. By the way, I was at the mall earlier. The staff were waiting for a trailer to arrive with the mandarin oranges. When I came out from the building, the 20ft container was lying on its side!!! Luckily there was nobody underneath it.

Aaahhhh I wish I had a camera. A picture does speak a thousand words, you know!

A Gift For The Boss

Being a newbie at the office, I was given the most unwelcome takes of looking for the gift for the boss. I had no clue what he likes until I found out that he is a keen deep sea angler.

Once I knew that, it was easy. I wrote a list consumer marine electronic products which we could get for him.

I know that NortheastMarineElectronics.com carries a lot of such products from some of the big names in the industry, including Cobra,
Raymarine, Delkin and many more. My colleagues were agreeable too since the prices here are reasonable and affordable to us.

The boss was very happy to receive the Raymarine gift and has since used it each time he goes out to sea.

Multi-seasonal Fashion - My Kind of Fashion

In a previous post, I wrote about The Diva's Dreams, a fashion blog by Belisi. Two days ago, there is a post by Belisi on multi-seasonal fashion.

I am all for multi-seasonal fashion. I am the kind of person who knows she needs a change in wardrobe and yet never got around to it. It's hard for me to catch up with fashion and it is a luxury to own the current "IT" item. How many "IT" items can I own, but ONE?

And after I have bought it, I always pray that this item will be evergreen! It is the same for accessories and handbags. Friends know that I rarely buy these and hardly ever carry a handbag but once I do buy, I splash on it and then hope it will not go out of fashion for a long time.

The Affair Aftermath

Recently, Abdul Razak Baginda *confessed* of his affair with the Mongolian. While I do not even want to attempt to analyse his side of the story since this involves politics of the second highest level, it got me thinking, can a woman completely forgive her wayward husband?

I personally know of a few ladies whose husbands had affairs outside and had children with the mistress.

Case A:
A man had an affair with a young lady. They had a son. Finally the wife (wives are the last to know) found out. She, with the help of her brother, forced him to sign over the house to her. It's a small single-storey terrace house, but, heck, it's still property.

The wife gave him the ultimatum of leaving the mistress. She is only willing to take in the son, but not the mistress. She wants the son because she has two daughters.

I wonder, can she bring up the child like her own together with her own daughters, without hatred, without prejudice?

Meanwhile, the mistress said they can have the son provided the man gives her a certain sum, which he couldn't, so they split up, with the mistress having custody of the son, and this couple and their two daughters remained as a family unit.

Now, the wife may have the husband by her side physically, but can she deny that things will never be the same again? I look at them, and they don't really talk to each other. They only existed side by side.

Case B:
A man had an affair with a lady and during the affair, he rented somewhere else to live and left his family without giving them any money. His son had to go to his office to beg for money to upkeep the family. The son even had to resort to stealing, but he was caught and he had to call up an adult friend to bail him out as his own father could not be reached.

This man did not even hide his affair. Anyway, to cut the story short, the son that he had with his mistress died in a mishap. He soon split up with the mistress. Naturally, whatever savings that he had previously had already been spent on her, so he doesn't have any money left. He still had a job, though.

He went home, and after much commotion, he was allowed to live in the house, but he was given the front room. You could say he was like a tenant in his house.

His wife and children all lived there as well but there is no interaction. He couldn't even watch TV while they were at home which means he has to sneak around in his own home.

And my question is, how could the wife's heart be so soft as to welcome him into the house. Wouldn't it be better without this heartless man?

Case C:
A man left his family for another woman. They lived happily and he fathered a few children. But this mistress is very cunning. She used his money and took his property. Later, this man found out that his mistress had a boyfriend.

Somehow this man got her to sign the house back under his name, and then he confronted her. She chose the boyfriend over this man and she left with him.

A few years later, this man fell ill due to old age. He did not have anyone to take care of him so he asked for his *first* wife to care for him which she did, until his last breath.

Wasn't she being overly generous already?

Case D:
A man went off to another country with his secretary. They had a daughter together. After some years, when the mistress had lived off the man enough, taking all his money, she abandoned him.

The extended family tried to bring him back into the life of his first family.

I was aghast. Why subject the wife to the pain of old wounds. It has been over thirty years already. Let bygones be bygones. Why care if the man is lonely, penniless or whatever? Don't they know that the wife is the one who suffers while the husbands go and enjoy their new life with a new woman?

What about all these children who grew up without a father? Some may be too young to hate their father, but the older ones almost never forgive him for subjecting them to such a life.

And there are many more unfortunate women facing the same scenario daily.

Anyway, back to my original question, will life ever be the same once the husband is found to be having an affair?

A lady I know had a short affair. Her guilt was so strong, she confessed to her husband who forced her to take various blood tests and then divorce her.

Why is it that the wife can be the forgiving one but men cannot?

An all Inclusive Jamaica Vacation

My friend couldn't decide where to go for her honeymoon. Her husband wanted Seoul, she wanted Monte Carlo. After much "discussion", they went online to find a neutral place.

They were happy to come across the beach and sun resort packages offered by Vacations.net.

They were surprised that an
all inclusive Jamaica vacation is not as expensive that they once thought, thanks to the massive 50% off regular rates.

Through Vacations.net, they booked their honeymoon holiday without hassle. The booking engine as so smooth and intuitive, they plan to book another all inclusive sun and surf holiday package when they return from their honeymoon.

Improving Soaps.com

I was asked to give an opinion to improve Soaps.com. So here goes:

Internet Explorer is my default browser. Unfortunately, it site did not display well here. I had to switch to Firefox. While some people keep saying how good Firefox is, I think that a well made website should be able to accommodate both IE and Firefox, the two browsers with the most users.

Content wise, everything is fine, but I think that labels have to be implemented for the
Soap Operas. It will definitely improve navigation and one can search for content easily without going through all the text.

Other than that, everything is well categorized but I think that they should ditch the drop down menu of the soap operas list, and just list them on the page itself.

Answering Stupid Qs, Not!

Some of you may think this is not a big deal but I beg to differ.

There are people who, as soon as they see me online on the messenger in the morning, will ask me, "Just woke up ar?"

Come on! Is there any rule which says that we MUST go online as soon as we are awake? Here I am, not getting enough sleep every night and these buggers think that I have the luxury to sleep until noon. You say stim or not?

And then, some on the other hand, will ask, "So free to online ah?"

Stupid dumbo! The fact that I am online means that I have work to do on the computer which equals to "I am NOT free!" I do not have the luxury to surf aimlessly and neither do I have the mood to entertain their endless questions of "Just woke up ar?" and "So free to online ah?"

It is OK if I am asked these Qs once, and I give an explanation ala the above, but definitely NOT OK when the same people ask me the same stupid questions time and again.

And then there's a champion who, upon seeing that my share has no activity, emails me, "Eeehh why your share no trading wan? Share on holiday ar? Delisted oredi ar?"

FFFfffff lah! He knows how shares work or not???

He thinks it's fun to hold shares that are always untraded ar, sumore wanna rub salt into the wound.

Why make me waste time even to reply his email or SMS? If I didn't ask him NOT to call me, he would have dialed my number oredi.

FFFfffffffff!

Date Out Of Your League

Have you ever wondered why a man who is not as good looking as another and yet managed to get the most beautiful girl? The answer lies in his confidence.

A man is confident when he himself is dressed well. Women love good dressers. If you do not believe me, go and read Peter Belisi's fashion blog. In an article last month, Belisi tells men how to use fashion to date 'out of your league'.

It really is not difficult. Just know what your audience wants. In this case, your audience is the ladies. Give the audience what they want and analyze your competition (other men) and be better than them!

You're sure to win a lady's heart and then some!

Ah... the evilness

... of writing "reviews". I recently wrote so many reviews on the latest mobile phones that I suddenly felt that my own mobile is so outdated. Ahhh! Evil, evil, evil!

I MUST NOT SUCCUMB TO TEMPTATION!!!!

My sister really has a MotoRazr and she is telling me what a good phone it is. But her boyfriend gave it to her from his winnings in Poker, while I don't have a boyfriend and even if I had, there's no guarantee that he'll have the luck in gambling. Bah!

And she tells me that is has a camera. I have been hankering for a REAL digital camera for years and I still haven't gotten around to buying one, while she already has one and now also a camera phone!

Ahhhh! Envy, envy, envy!

But in the first place, I don't even have the heart to upgrade my mobile phone as this is my lucky phone which I won in a contest!

End Times Theology Online Course

A few of my friends have been reading up on End Times Theology. They are Christians while I am not, so we always have a field day discussing what would happen and what the Bible says. Now, I may not be a Christian, but I do read the Bible. You can say, I am someone who believes in a World Religion. My interpretation may not be 100% accurate but these friends don't mind me discussing with them!

The things that I find on the internet simply amaze me. I can now tell these friends that they can get a certification for End Times theology.

This course is an accredited online course offered by Maranatha College and it is only $19.95.

Fortunately, this course is open to Christians who love God's Word so they do qualify! The course runs for four weeks only, but students will be given a total of 120 days to complete the material and assignments to receive the certificate of completion.

Since it is an online course, anyone with an internet access will be able to enroll into one, by just setting up a user ID and password to log in to the online classroom of Maranatha College.

When they have received their certification, they MAY feel that their knowledge is better than mine *sob*

In No Mood

Well, not exactly no mood but low mood, very, very, low. Monkey's not well again. He’s dribbling urine all over. Errmmm this doesn't look good. Possible causes include:

Bladder infection
Diabetes
Renal failure
Enlargement of prostate
Stone in the kidney / bladder / urinary tract

and a few others that I dare not even think about. My heart just sinks.....

Vets around here just aren't good enough. Heck, many don't even know that monkeys can lapse into seizures and even ask me to take him into the clinic during a bout of seizure. I want to know, HOW??

After that episode when vets around here have revealed their IQ level to me, I have no trust in them anymore.

I'm so lost.

Adding Quizzes to MySpace

Are you a MySpace user? Well, I am one and I always wondered how my friends add quizzes MySpace Quizzes to their page. Now I know it. Just use PimpSurveys.com

It is so easy. Just register with them, browse what is available from a large pool or quizzes and surveys, and get the code and just add it to your MySpace page, or blog or any webpage, actually.

The good thing is you will know how if the quiz is short or long, so there's no surprises for your readers haha!

I'm off now to spruce my blog with a quiz!

I've Been Thinking ........

.... wouldn't it be great if I could divorce myself from this worldly world and move away to a place far, far away and be by myself and not let people and problems bother me?

I'm tired, getting very, very tired with the stuff that bogs me down every day. I wonder when only am I able to emerge from all the shit but I'm currently not seeing that proverbial light at the end of the tunnel.

This seems like a loooong one. I wonder if I will lose my way. Well, I don't know, I just feel like putting everything down and go off. I wish I could but my sense of responsibility is too great for my own good.

And I realised that when people call my name (and I don't mean on the phone), sure they have nothing good for me. They just want me to do stuff for them but I already have my hands full. Can't they understand that?

I have a lot of stuff on my head waiting to burst out but I'm lazy to construct my thoughts into sentences. So that will have to wait for another day.

Vacation With A Difference

I always believed that when we go on a vacation, most of our expenses are on transport and accommodation. Although transportation costs are mostly fixed, accommodation costs can be variable.

We can choose to live like a duke, or rough it out for a few days in our holiday destination. However, if you managed to cut down on third parties, you can live like a duke without spending like one.

Seasoned travelers tell me that they do extensive research before making a holiday trip and time and care is spent on searching for the best accommodation at the lowest cost.

You may wonder how you can weed out the middleman. Well, just take a look at vacationhomerentals.com. This is an online directory where holiday property owners list their property stating rental per week, with photos and description.

The smart traveler gets to compare property type, prices, location and amenities, and reviews of
vacation rentals.

The owner also gets to list down all the facilities and entertainment spots, businesses, malls and parks that are nearby to give an idea to the traveler on what to expect of the property. From there, an interested party can contact the owner of the property directly.

If the price is right, a deal can be clinched, and you see, there is no need for a middle man at all.

Well, this is not the only benefit of vacationhomerentals.com. The best thing is that no matter where you wish to travel to, there will be properties for rent listed on the directory. Their extensive list of rental properties, which span from North America to Europe to Africa to Asia to the South Pacific and many more countries in between, is testimony of how reliable and trustworthy vacationhomerentals.com is.

Vacation rentals like this are the hottest way to travel. Try it out for your next trip and experience the difference!

Blogging For Money

Recently, I was getting hits for this post that I wrote two months ago: When I Grow Up, I Wanna Be A Problogger!

I wondered where these people came from, of course, but there was no referral information.

Anyway, I found out yesterday. Someone cited this post in a discussion along the lines of "Should bloggers place ads in their blogs?"

Now, I wanna clarify that this post does not mean that I am by any means advocating problogging, especially for guys. If you have read my recent posts, I touched on problogging again and my opinion on it.

When I Grow Up, I Wanna Be A Problogger! is purely an observation piece.

Some people were of the opinion that under exposed blogs like mine should not have ads because that would not serve the purpose if it is not read by people. Well, in my opinion, it serves me just right.

If I have a high traffic blog, do you think that I would bombard my readers with ads? No, I don't think so. I would rather generate passive income through Adsense and other contextual ads.

I know there are many people who judged me based on the number of paid posts I put out. Well, let me tell you, if you have been a reader of this blog before the deluge of sponsored posts, you will know the kinda background I come from.

At least I make no pretensions that, yes, I am hard up for this money and I fight for every dollar. So what if I make two sponsored posts a day? I do my part by writing well thought out posts for the sponsors.

I am only taking an opportunity that is given and I must be out of my mind if I do not take it, having to carry the financial burden that I have. I have blog readers who became friends with me through blogging and they are supportive of me but of course there will always be believers and non-believers.

And the non-believers are usually bystanders who have nothing better to do than to spend time "discussing" about issues. We can find many such people in the coffee shops, can’t we?

Although my blog now has sponsored posts, it does not mean that my interim posts are of lesser quality. They are still as original, as well thought out, as well written and as lengthy as before. In short, my interim posts are NOT filler posts. Each has its own original story to tell.

In conclusion, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do and nobody has the right to fault her for that.

Weeding Out Unscrupulous RakeBack Affiliates

I became interested in Poker after watching the Korean Drama, All In. It's a drama that's all about poker, from playing in seedy game houses to the glitzy casinos of Cheju Island and then Las Vegas but there was no online poker playing!

I decided to check out what is available online for me and realised that we can sign up for a room to play in, but the smart players will get back their rakeback if they had signed up with an affiliate beforehand.

Rakeback affiliates willingly send back a portion of their
rakeback commission to encourage customer loyalty. So a lot of players virtually get to play poker cheaply or even free.

However, the question is, with so many rakeback affiliates around, which one is trustworthy? Which will stay true to their word and not delay payment, or worse, vanish with our rakeback?

Trusting online companies is not easy. That's why we, the consumers have to band together and keep each other informed of which companies are reliable, which are not.

In the case of rakeback affiliates where much money is involved and where rakeback makes up a significant portion of income for most poker players, it is very important to review each affiliate.

This is where directories like RakeBreakers.com come in. If you are a customer of any rakeback affiliate, write your review and submit it to RakeBreakers.com If your affiliate is as yet listed, you can just drop RakeBreakers.com a note together with you review.

Constructive reviews will help to weed out unscrupulous companies and protect other poker players from falling into their traps

Hello, Your Fly Is Open!

Those who know me know I ask the darnest questions sometimes. Hahaha... I'm a bit off, you know? :p Recently, I asked a couple of my male friends if they have ever had their fly down in public hahaha

This question came to mind because I saw a man with his fly down at a coffee shop. I did not know if I should inform him or not. He was with his wife and children but no one noticed.

If I were to alert him, he will think that I'm a pervert to even glance at him below the belt. I contemplated, but in the end, I did not alert him *sigh*

This got me wondering why most men tend forget to zip up. I thought that it's already a reflex action after so many years of wearing pants.

Friend A told me that it's not forgetfulness but it's something else *ahem*

Friend B told me that it's not true that only men forget. It seems that women too. He said he saw women walking around town with the zip of the skirt down.

Wahhh like this dangerous lor. What if the buckle comes off? Then the skirt drops lor *gasp*

I asked Friend B if he alerted the lady, and he said no. Wow... is that bad or what?

So if you come across someone, especially of the opposite gender, with the zipper down, would you alert him/her about it?

A Motorola Z3 For Dad

My dad is a die-hard fan of Motorola. He says Motorola has the best voice clarity and he refuses to try some other brands. I'm thinking of upgrading his current Motorola mobile phone to a Motorola Z3.

It is a slide phone and will be a good change from his current model. Also, this camera is sleek and has great camera capabilities and music on the go.

Although he is not into mobile phone games, well, I can play them, can't I?

The best feature that is most suitable for my dad, at his age, is the full screen viewfinder. It will be easy on his eyes.

Yes, I think this is what I will be getting him next month.

Are You On Drugs?

My friend was surprised to learn that I'm only getting three hours of rest every night. My usual excuse is of course, "Work."

Looking at my condition, he even asked if I was on drugs. Of course not lah. He should give me more credit than that!

What he told me was that it's useless for me to work such long hours as productivity is only limited to ten hours a day. I will only create more mistakes beyond that ten hours. I will then be required to correct these mistakes and this means time wasted too.

This equals to loss of actual working productive time and in turn means longer work hours, with no added benefit.

Don't I know it, Henry? I wish you were my boss. The pay you offered me is good enough to match my education level *sob* and my non experience, but you don't give me internet access for most of the day, how to survive?

Doing Charity With RAZR

My sister received a sizzling hot Sprint Red RAZR from her fiancé last year for Christmas. She had been hankering for one for a long time but never got around to making that purchase. Actually the price is affordable but she is quite stingy. So her fiancé got it for her as a gift.

The Motorola RAZR is very sleek at only 13.9 mm thin and 53 mm wide and yet it is packed with complete features that make me go green eyed! I wish I had that for Christmas too but all I ever received were books!

This Red RAZR is different from other cell phones because with each sale, a portion of the proceeds go towards the support to fight against AIDS.

I think this is an excellent plan where we get to do our bit for charity, especially in the fight against AIDS, which is actually one of the greatest threats to humanity in the modern world.

We get a beautiful phone and we get to do some charity on the side. It really is a win-win situation. Even celebrities like Oprah Winfrey and Bono, among others, are doing their bit via Sprint Red RAZR. I don't why we can't too.

Is Mawi Tokking C*ck?

I am past the phase where I care what goes on with each celebrity but last week, Mawi revealed to the press that he has been suffering from spiritual attacks since he became a celebrity.

Do you think he is tokking kok? I do believe him, like I believed Emily Rose. Like I mentioned, I personally know of people who have spiritual disturbances like Mawi, maybe even worse than his experience, for YEARS!

It is mentally disturbing, but there is definitely nothing wrong with a victim's mental faculty, unless it is prolonged.

Now you know why I will never reveal my photos online. I envy those who have the freedom to reveal themselves like nobody's business. Perhaps it is true that ignorant is bliss, unlike me who have to carry the burden of knowledge and awareness.

I have always wondered if celebrities suffer from something like this, with their images plastered all over the world. I guess my question has been answered now.

Relieving Heartburn

My friend Karen has been suffering from Acid Reflux off and on for a few years now. We advised her to get a medical consultation but she says it's just a small irritation and does not require medical help. She was also suffering from poor digestion but she says these two are not related.

We, her family and friends were very concerned that she chose to suffer like that so we recommended her
heartburn herbal remedy, since she has refused conventional pharmaceutical drugs.

Heartburn herbal remedy can just as well relieve indigestion and ease irritation in the intestines and esophagus without the harsh side-effects that may be caused by pharmaceutical
heartburn medicine.

She was skeptical at first, insisting on a homemade mixture of chamomile, ginger and peppermint. While these three items have properties that could relieve heartburn, they were not that effective for her. Maybe she doesn't know how to prepare them!

So we kept urging her to try a heartburn herbal remedy. Never try, never know, right? She finally agreed and within a week, we could see improvement in her general health. She also suffered less from heartburn symptoms.

She was very happy and confident that this can totally relieve her of her acid reflux.

Google Can't Decide On My Page Rank

Well, since the day when my blog was suddenly upgraded to a page rank of 5, I've been getting conflicting readings. Sometimes it's zero, sometimes it's three, sometimes it's five.

To be honest, three is the more accurate reading cos I know this baby can't be a five but this doesn't mean that I can't dream early tonight, right? ;-)

I know this is a fluke that's why I did not take opps that require a Page Rank of more than three but I did submit one that asked for a PR4 and up. I did it because it is a topic that is currently close to my heart, i.e. how to generate a sustainable income on the internet, whether through blogging or other online activities.

I guess I will be keeping that post online even when it is rejected. So we'll see how lah.

New Life Sans Drugs

This is a true story that befell my unfortunate neighbor. They have four children, three boys and a girl. Somehow, two of the boys started to go on drugs when they were in their teens. Some blame it on the company they kept, some blame in on the parents' upbringing. Whatever the cause, it is almost a death sentence once one gets addicted to drugs.

They were sent to rehabilitation centers but when they were released, again they went back to the old company, and naturally, to drugs.

The parents should have sent them to Echo Malibu, which has a different approach to dealing with adolescents like these two boys, trying to recover from drugs, although Echo Malibu also deals with alcohol and behavioral problems. Enrolling them into a
adolescent treatment program would have been the best move.

The staff, well-trained and dedicated, is what boys like these need. The boys not only need someone to listen to their problems, but also a mentor who would guide them to a new life sans drugs.

The Dark Side of Visit Malaysia

Since the beginning of the year, prices for everything in Kuala Lumpur have gone up no thanks to unscrupulous small time traders and business people.

A couple of our Australian associates came to Kuala Lumpur recently on business. One stayed at Hotel A, the other at Hotel B, both in KLCC, the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

The meeting was to be held at Hotel B, so the guy from Hotel A took a taxi to Hotel B since he was not familiar with Kuala Lumpur. It is actually within walking distance and there is a LRT route as well.

The taxi driver drove him to Hotel B and charged RM50. To justify his high charge, he went one round Kuala Lumpur to another Hotel B (a hotel with the same name) and then went back to the actual Hotel B.

So this guy had to pay RM50 for the ride and he was 45 minutes late for the meeting.

As a comparison, if a taxi driver in Singapore is reported to do something like this, and found to be guilty, will have his permit canceled, blacklisted for life where he will never be able to find work again and in serious cases, be jailed.

Meanwhile, the guy at Hotel A is actually a regular guest at the hotel, since he comes to Kuala Lumpur twice a month. However, during his stay this time, the door of his room, which uses those swipe key, was faulty and it became ajar while he was at the hotel lobby.

When he returned to his room, he found his mobile phone (with a local number that he uses when he is in Malaysia) and RM300 cash missing. Thankfully all other documents, passport and laptop were still there. So, the question is, "Is this an inside job?"

If an outsider did this, why were his other stuff untouched?

See what impressions these guys have of Malaysia now?

Must Read: Blog On Men's Fashion

How many men bother to take care of their looks and style in today's world? You may think there are many, but with today's casual workplace where there is absolutely no dress code to adhere to, hhhmm there are still some who have no qualms about wearing yesterday's clothes.

I admit to having a few such friends. It's not like they can't afford good clothes but they never took the trouble to look good, cos they think that their money speaks louder.

I subtlety forwarded a link to a blog that exclusively talks about style for men and from a man's point of view.

Belisi's Sharp by Design Blog is a blog that not only discusses the latest fashion styles but also teaches basic stuff like how to properly knot a tie. It's a blog that makes suitable reading no matter what level of fashion consciousness you are at.

Taking Better Care Of Myself

I always advise friends to take better care of themselves especially if they are smokers and/or drinkers. Usually, some will tell me, "Smoke also die, don't smoke also die!" and I'll tell them that first and foremost, you need to love yourself, then only can others love you. And only then will you be capable of loving others.

Now, I need to listen to my own tune. I am feeling the ravages of time. My body is sensing it. My body is showing it. What's annoying is that I'm tired and I'm showing it. My face is showing it.

My hectic life began a couple of years ago but it escalated in mid-2006. I tell you, I really can sleep standing up. What's new, right? *sigh*

Paul: Go to bed lah.
Me: But I've got work to do
Paul: Do tomorrow lah
Me: Tomorrow has tomorrow's task
Paul: You"re crazy. You're running on my (NYC) time!
Me: ..........

If it's not too late, my New Year's resolution is to take better care of myself. If I don't, no one else will.

On The Move

I always believed that a mobile phone can be more than what I'm using it for, i.e. make and receive calls and short messages. I was lazy to explore the possibilities until I discovered IMobLife-Expedite Your Mobile Life!

With IMobLife, it thoroughly mobilized my lifestyle. I can now be on the go without fearing of losing the ability to monitor my stocks thanks to MobFinance - Mobile Investor Assistant.

With just one click I can call up the latest quotes for my favorite stock counters and manage my stock portfolio right on my phone. It is all very idiot-proof and even a non-technical person like myself can use it with ease. My favorite part is the mobility it offers me.

After subscribing to RssNews- Personal Mobile Newspaper, I actually am finally getting in touch with the latest news that's making headlines. There was a time that I did not get to read the papers for a couple of years! That was because I was always on the move and did not have the luxury of a newspaper. The good news for me is that now, I am able to carry the news with me everywhere and read them at my convenience wherever I am!

Exploring PayPal

Yesterday I was exploring Paypal and I saw a group of countries that are more unfortunate than us Malaysians.

Well, previously, a Filipino told me that he can't use Paypal to make online purchases. I thought nothing about that since they do have something else that is a good alternative to Paypal.

Anyway, what's illogical is that the Philippines, along with a list of other countries, is listed as a country which can receive paypal funds but cannot send out, as opposed to Malaysia ability to receive and send (but cannot withdraw).

What's illogical to me is that if a Filipino can receive Paypal funds, but cannot send out, and cannot withdraw, what happens to his funds in Paypal? His money will be locked in there without an option to cash out. So why offer people in these countries the option to receive Paypal funds when there is absolutely no way for him to even touch it?

P/S: During eBay Explained Kuala Lumpur, in Nov, 2006, eBay promised to bring Malaysians full-featured Paypal services in 2007. Let's hope they live up to this promise.

Crazy Sale On Preview Videos of MS Vista & Office 2007

There is a crazy sale going on online now and it lasts until 20th January, 2007 only. Since most of us do not really know what's in store for us in the new Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007, Marc Liron, an IT Consultant and honored with the Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) award for four years running, has put together various Vista & Office 2007 Preview Videos that detail what are the new features and improved interface of Windows Vista and Office 2007, as compared to the current versions.

This is really helpful since such training videos are not available and there is a need to meet this enquiry of most Windows users. There is the need to answer the question if we should upgrade our Windows to Vista. With these videos, our questions will be answered.

These videos are sold online but Marc came up with a brilliant marketing plan whereby we only pay what we can afford. This offer is for seven days only so it is really your own loss if you do not take advantage of it because all the videos valued at over $500 can be had for $47 ONLY.

Tell me, is this crazy or what?

Seeking Financial Freedom and Time Flexibility

I ventured into blogging by chance as every friend I know is a blogger. After a long time blogging, I started to monetize my blog. That was about 3 - 4 months ago because I do believe that blogging can bring in a sustainable income. Since then, I've diligently read up on how other big name bloggers set up their blogs and learn from them.

But then what I have learnt from others is slightly different than the approach of Jim Reimer which I came across in his blog,
J.R.'s Seeds For Wealth.

J.R. is an advocate in building communities by using mini blog networks. I am excited with what he has in store for under-exposed blogs. You can say that I totally agree with him that blogging has evolved into a whole new sphere.

If you have read my previous post, I was telling a friend to start a new blog, and to aim at blogging for money so that he can create a sustainable income whilst looking for a real office job.

Like J.R. mentioned, we all should aim for the money but at the same time the freedom to do what we want with our time and not have to slave for it. In blogging, it is of course not easy to achieve that when we have to churn out original content a few times a day to sustain the traffic. Whatever clicks on our ads will be an added bonus but that's like waiting for the fish to bite the bait.

Last night, I was in discussion with a friend about the money we earn online. Is it worth it if we do not have the time, the freedom, to spend it? We write so many posts daily to create that income that we practically spend the entire day glued to the computer.

I think this is fine for short term but not in the long run. So I am really looking forward to what J.R. has for bloggers like me who are seeking not only financial freedom but also time flexibility.

Shopping At An Award Winning WebStore

Most Malaysians still do not trust online shopping. I like shopping online but only from stores that have excellent reputation. Last week, Your Electronic Warehouse won Monster Cable Products, Inc's Most Monsterous e-Commerce Retailer of The Year. This speaks a lot for Your Electronic Warehouse since Monster looks at the retailer's leadership in providing quality user experience to browsers and customers alike.

Apart from customer service, Monster also takes into consideration the ease of navigation of the website, the strong presentation of Monster Cable Products, the best Monster product mapping and the Most Monsterous consumer experience.

Is it any wonder that Your Electronic Warehouse beat other nominees for the award including Amazon.com, Crutchfield and Huppin's One Call? Last year's inaugural Most Monsterous e-Commerce Retailer of The Year went to Amazon.com

In 2006, Your Electronics Warehouse received a whooping 400% sales growth with Monster Cable products. They must be doing something right. The major contribution to the growth is said to be their ability to offer a nationwide installation service of Monster products that are custom installed with other high-end electronic devices.

This is also the only online store that allows customers to buy cables at their desired length instead of selling them at a fixed length. This alone gained them many loyal customers.

It is online stores like these that I trust enough to shop at.

Going Techie With Techzoogle

Those who know me know that I shy away from the high tech stuff because I get confused easily by all the jargon. However, now I can keep abreast with the latest gizmos and talk about technology with any guy, and sound like I really know my stuff thanks to Techzoogle.

Techzoogle is the only tech news resource that I read because of their user-friendliness and non-technical reporting. This is the only site that is easy for my non-techie brain!

Recently, I cleverly installed IE 7. However, I found that it's not as user-friendly for me as IE 6 and I had no way idea how to revert to IE 6 after installing IE 7. Luckily Techzoogle featured an article that was on CNet.com. CNet.com is not my everyday site! I'm glad I finally got my problem sorted out.

Also, the article Dash: The First Internet-Connected Auto Navigation Device caught my eye because coincidentally, my friend just bought a similar device and we went for a spin to try it out. It was great but compared to what was written on Dash, now we are not sure if the device was bought too soon. If he had waited a little longer, perhaps he could get Dash and enjoy the two-way internet connectivity.

Cloning Myself

I have so many tasks to complete daily and have work up to my nose that 24 hours a day is definitely not enough even when I cut down on sleep to the minimum.

The other day, I read a true story of a lady who worked so hard and like me, cut down on sleeping hours that she suffered from a heart attack at 28 years old. It's horrifying.

However, she subsequently became very successful in life. This got me thinking, what is more important? Health or success? Of course health is broadly the most important thing in life, but without money, what can one do? See, Boon needed more than MYR7000 per month for Iressa. Without that, the cancer could not be contained. And you know what happened to him.

Anyway, I told my friend that I wish I had a twin. He asked me what makes me think that my twin will be exactly the same as myself and enjoy the same things that I do. Ok, so no twin never mind. I wanna clone myself. The best is to have an adult clone and not a baby one. I don't want the burden to take care of my clone baby!

Can technology accommodate me?

Saving For A Bulgarian Trip

My Slovakian friend Zuzana is once again back from a holiday in Bulgaria. She spends her Christmas there annually as her grandparents own a pamporovo property. She even invited me there end of this year. I may be going. I am enchanted by the crystal clear beaches and I may even learn skiing while I'm over there.

Here's praying that I can save enough for this trip!

Oh No, I'm In Serious Trouble

For the second week in a row, I have thoroughly forgotten that today's Saturday. I came online in the morning and from then onwards, kept refreshing my stock counters until 4pm, that was when I realised that it's Saturday *gasp*

Even noticing that all the stocks were untraded, even the normally active ones, did not alert me. Aiyoyo die loh if this goes on.

It has been months since I wrote in this blog that my days keep rolling into one whole work week. The pressure has yet to let up. I wonder when I will be able to just stop bearing my responsibilities and go off and lead the life I desire.

I guess it is my own bad karma to be stuck in this situation. I really envy the people who can go off to do something on impulse.

I seriously need help *sniff*

Now, where's the ticket promised to me to the Phantom of the Opera show in Singapore???

Tracking Readers With Clicky

Having so many blogs in my name, I have been searching for the most user-friendly and feature rich web statistics service for my blogs. So far, I have tried quite a few and with my high expectations, none can match my requirements yet until I discovered Clicky Web Statistics.

Some many wonder why I require a web statistics service since my readership is not that high. Well, that is exactly the reason why. I want to know what my existing readers like to read, and I can improve my blog with writing similar topics.

Clicky allows me to track my readers, from where they came from, what they did on my blog and for how long. These are what I really want to know.

Creating Wealth For Myself

How many of you want to have not only financial freedom but to have all the time you can have to yourself to do what you want? Well, I must admit, that is what I always dreamed of. I do not really like to sell my time to my company. The hours between 8am to 5pm from Mondays to Saturdays are all for the company and I am paid pittance.

All these may change though, with
NetWorthUSA. If it works out for me like it did for so many other people, I can finally be my own boss. I can determine what I want to achieve. The more time I put in, the more income I will reap, of course. But I will be working for myself solely, and not for the company which doesn't appreciate my efforts.

My time is my own. I really love this. Maybe I will never have to get out of bed at the ungodly hour of 6am just to rush to the office anymore. It's cold and dark and lonely out there at 6am!

I will get to create the amount of wealth I want and with integrity too, thanks to NetWorthUSA's combined three most powerful business models; network marketing, real estate investment and webucation.

Everything Also Leceh

Recently, a friend of mine complained that he is still jobless. He has graduated from an Australian University more than six months ago. At first, every time I see him, I will ask him if he has found a job, and he was so fed-up, he told me to STOP asking. So I stopped but now he himself comes and tells me about it.

I have felt that he did not look hard enough for a job. Perhaps there are too many people with his qualification, I do not know. Maybe it is an employer's market and he has a higher expectation than what is offered. Whatever the case, he doesn't have a job.

So I asked him why not write paid posts? He is one of my few friends who updates his blog regularly. He was curious so I asked him to look at the stuff I did on my blog.
He was skeptical and asked if there is proof that anyone has been paid doing this sort of thing. That was easy, I am that proof.

Anyway, I told him to migrate his old contents to a new own-hosted blog since we were not sure if his free blog host allows paid posts or not. He said that is leceh.

He asked me what are the rates like and I told him, the higher ranked his blog is, the higher pay out he will receive. He said it is hard to achieve a high page rank and build a readership base. Leceh again.

The we talked about payment. I suggested he get a Paypal account and have it verified with a Public Bank debit card. He said he doesn't have this. Well, of course not since we were not born with Paypal and a debit card, right?

He said that the RM24 annual charge for the debit card is too expensive because he is not working. Well, if he writes paid posts, he can pay for the RM24, can't he? Leceh again.

I can relate to his situation where both of us try to get an income source with the least capital output. We are both from underprivileged backgrounds though he is better than me as he was put through an Aussie university education by his parents, whilst I could only dream of that.

But when he dismissed everything with leceh-ness, who wants to help him? Friends are important to me and if I could spent ten months diligently looking for a job for a friend, I can spare thirty minutes explaining the workings of writing paid posts to another.

I did not even do it to get his referral fees, it went unmentioned. I only told him because it is something that works and something that he can do whilst seriously looking for a job.

I still encourage him to look for a real job as I do not agree that a man should be a problogger and stay at home the whole day blogging. This should be a woman's job, and blogging for money is just extra side income to the man's salary.

But since it's all leceh-ness, I'll just let him look for his own job then.
