Countdown? What Countdown?

Anyone going for countdown tonight? I have never been to any before. I don't understand what's so enjoyable about being in an over crowded place waiting for the clock to tick away and then "counting down" together. Maybe some people might enjoy the concert but is it worth all the trouble? Not as if it's Bon Jovi concert what?

Some people even go through all the traffic jam, sardine packed LRT, long walks to reach the venue and repeat the whole process again after the countdown until dunno what time only managed to reach home, and risk getting in the way of Mat Rempits and what not.

Last night, a friend asked me if I'll be playing sparklers tonight. Haha it has been a really long time since I played any. Last time, I was so young, I was even afraid that the small sparks burn my hand. The adults will hang the sparklers on trees or all around the fence and it really did make a lovely sight and gave us the festive mood.

Now, every one's jaded after going through so many New Years already haha everyone will be doing his own thing like every other day.

Benefits of Adjustable Beds & Mattresses

Boon's sister was a Staff nurse before she resigned to take care of her grandmother, then father and then Boon. She became their personal nurse and equipped her house like a mini clinic. After reading up on adjustable bed comparisons and reviews, she bought one for her grandmother. Little did she know that it will be passed to her father and then her brother to use.

Because people buy adjustable beds and adjustable mattresses mainly for health, it is important to make the right decision before investing in one.

Basically, an adjustable bed is a bed whose electric frame can be adjusted so that a person can be elevated into a more comfortable position. It is useful for someone who is forced to spend long hours in bed.

The real comfort is in the mattress. Before making a purchase, one has to know that there are various types of mattresses like the coil spring, memory foam, latex foam, adjustable air bed mattress and dual adjustable air beds, all with slightly differing benefits.

So it is important to buy the one that meets your needs.

The Year In Review

2006 has been a whirlwind year. It has it ups, it has its downs. The saddest was when my friend passed away after a long struggle with cancer. His chats kept me down for a long time but his optimism kept me out of my own despair. If he could struggle on in whatever that was left of his life, why can't I? I am comforted by the thought that he is now in a better place.

If I thought that 2005 was madness, little did I know that 2006 would double that madness. If I thought that I worked hard enough in 2005, I doubled my work hours in 2006, until I only have 3 - 4 hours of sleep nightly.

A male friend told me that I can't spend all my time working. He told me that I need to find a boyfriend to balance out my life. Why must I find a boyfriend? Why can't this "boyfriend" whoever he is, find me? According to my friend, nobody can find me if I'm indoors the whole day and night. OK, fair enough, but I seriously have no time to entertain a boyfriend and neither do I relish the thought of being saddled with problems associated with a guy.

When I was a kid, my uncle, a Dean of studies in a prominent local university, used to complain that he didn't even have time to sht. I didn't believe him. I wondered how could someone be so busy? Now I know better. And it really is no laughing matter.

There were days when I felt so pressured for time and money, I calculated every sen that I had, but somehow, we managed to meet our commitment month by month, by the grace of God.

I can proudly say that I, and my monkeys, survived 2006!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported my endeavours one way or another throughout the year.

Furniture Financing For the Nursery

My friend is about to have a baby and she desperately needs to redecorate a room to welcome her baby. Since she did not want to spend too much on the room, since she will need some cash on hand for maternity fees, she decided to apply for furniture financing.

She was happy to be able to do it easily online at her own convenience. Her credit application was processed within a minute or two. Moreover, she told me that the great benefit is not having to pay any interest or payments for ninety days and even up to twelve months if she could meet their simple terms.

Online furniture financing with a reputable company is the solution in my friend's case.

Zero Monthly Access Fee Postpaid Line

Is there such a thing? I'm getting pretty fed up of prepaid. A friend of mine used to subscribe to such a plan during the days of Time and all that was required was for his bill to be paid by auto-debiting his credit card. He could keep his monthly bill under RM10. That's cheap, and suits my budget. All that ended when Maxis took over Time.

Will Maxis, Celcom or Digi bring back such a plan? There's no use to fight over prepaid clients while neglecting postpaid customers. Postpaid users are older people who have the moolah to spend. Prepaid users are young people with restricted spending money, and perhaps only reload RM30 every month, which is, truth be told, even more than my usage lol

Now they have family plan where calling family numbers is free, but these members share a pool of credit for calling other numbers. Hhmm I don't really like to have my usage checked by my family.

So I'm gonna sit back and watch them go to war over prepaid packages, until they come up with a postpaid line that's worth switching over to.

Another Orlando Holiday For My Sis

Two years ago, my sister and her boyfriend drove from Tennessee to Orlando. They had booked rooms at one of the Kissimmee hotels to be near to Disney World. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I could see from the photos she sent me and I also received a pair of Mickey and Minnie soft toys as souvenirs!

Next year, they will be making another trip there during their Spring Break. I was surprised that they again decided to go to Orlando, but they told me that it is such a entertaining city, the attractions are fast changing that even though they have been there two years ago, the city is not the same and they expect to have double the fun there.

This time, they will be bringing the boyfriend's parents as well. Orlando is a family-orientated city so it is easily enjoyed by people of all ages.

Finally, Success in Finding a Bride

A friend of mine has been such a failure in love matters. He finally struck gold when he participated in an online love match website and soon, he was Dating Russian Brides!

We were surprised that he managed to get so many girls' contacts in such a short while, and these girls are so beautiful too! Russian ladies usually are beautiful. They also have been brought up to be good wives.

After only a whirlwind romance with a girl he met on LoversPlanet.com, they got married and that was the end of his bachelorhood!

New Year's Resolutions

It's the time of the year again where everyone is making lists of New Year's resolutions. I hardly ever make any. I remember a long time ago, I gave myself ten years to go to Monte Carlo for a holiday. The ten years have come and gone but my holiday never happened. Maybe I do not work hard enough towards my resolutions.

My resolutions for next year shall be to work harder and also at the same time take better care of myself. Is that possible? I have been looking like shit for the past year, so yeah, perhaps some personal time would do me good.

I also will try not to let other people's problems affect me so much. Heck, I've got too heavy a load on my shoulders as it is. I don't need to carry somebody else's burden.

And I think I should give more of my time to friends. I feel kinda bad some of them have been neglected for the past few months.

That's all for the time being, I guess. I lead a simple kinda life with only small demands.

Doing Without The Middlemen

My friend Paul, who lives in Atlanta, USA, was thinking of buying a luxury condominium as a form of investment. There are so many Atlanta Condos, he didn't know where to start. So I told him about CondoCompany's newly launched CondoList, where he can search for condos for sale as listed by Realtors, Owners or Developers.

He was so happy that he is now able to contact the principals directly and not go through middlemen who would want a huge cut off the sale price.

As he is eyeing a luxury high rise condo, he made use of CondoCompany's recently launched program called "Building Specialists" where he found a qualified real estate agent specializing in luxury condos to give him the best advice on investing in luxury condos.

Simplifying the Process of Selling Mortgage Loans

How difficult is it to sell a mortgage nowadays? It is very easy if you have the help of DoublePositive Marketing Group. If you are a mortgage company, it is free to sign up your company with them, and it's up to you to set the criteria to be met by all borrowers. There is no minimum order for your company to meet, since DoublePositive charges per transfer, for as low as $39 each transfer. This is good since it does not tie-up a company on a long term basis or lengthy commitments

When borrowers apply for a new mortgage loan online, they will be double checked by DoublePositive for those who are genuinely interested in a loan and most importantly, qualify for a loan. Only then will these mortgage leads will be passed on to your company.

With DoublePositive doing the ground work for you, all you need to do is do what you do best, that is to sell your mortgage.

Why I Changed My Blog Title

Some of you may have noticed, some of you may not have. Heck, there are people who wouldn't notice if the big tree in front of his house is chopped down.

Anyway, I changed my blog name as a goodwill gesture during Christmas. As a sponsored blog, I have to be responsible to my sponsors and give them value for their money, and no sponsor would like their product or service associated with a blog of that title.

So I decided to change it on my own freewill. An Anonymous Journal describes my blog just as well; just that it is not as specific.

I hope to receive your continued support no matter what name this blog has. Thank you.

Booking Event Tickets Online

I remember years ago I wanted so much to watch Joan Jett & the Blackhearts in concert in my city but the tickets were all sold out as soon as her schedule was released! I was so disappointed. After that incident, I told myself, no more do I want to get myself be caught like that again.

Now, every time I want to watch a show, I make sure I book my
Event Tickets online. Sometimes life is so busy I almost forgot about it, but I can totally depend on Premium Seats USA to have the best seats even in a last minute purchase.

Friends were surprised how I managed to get event tickets to the best shows, until I told them about Premium Seats USA!

F Celcom Again!

So the other day, I was cursing Celcom for not registering my prepaid line, despite having done so way back in July, but since their records shows something else, my line was suspended.

The Customer Care Service guy, with his broken English, took down my particulars, and told me that he's gonna do a preregistration for me, whatever that means, and that I'm supposed to go to the nearest Celcom office with my mobile phone and MyKad to do a proper registration to lift that suspension, which wasn't my fault in the first place.

So I took the afternoon off to get this settled. The guys there told me that there's nothing wrong with my line and that it is already registered. That made me look so stupid, who in hell wanna make a trip there if her line is already registered?

Shit la, they think I am so free to go there to talk to a bunch of strangers about this "problem" when it's all Celcom's fault. And I thought that I would be getting another free RM5 credit.

Double bah!

A Hassle-free Relocation

My friend who lives in New York will be moving to Aurora, Illinois due to work. As he is unfamiliar with that area and do not have friends to help him check out Aurora Real Estate, he has to depend on realtors. Luckily he was introduced to Mr Jeffrey T. Schutter from New Castle Realty Group.

Mr. Schutter and his team are so professional, they do not just sell properties but they really go through the trouble to make relocation as hassle-free as possible.

NewCastle Realty Group also has contacts with local attorneys, home inspectors and mortgage consultants who will handle the purchase of a home as simple as possible.

So Sien, Can Die!

The internet is so slow it's making me so sien, can die! Not that I am addicted to the internet or anything, just that my work revolves around the internet so much and I depend on it a lot for communication purposes.

And even with a crappy internet like these days I'd still have to get things completed every day. So I'm spending longer and longer hours in front of the computer, just waiting and waiting (and of course cursing and swearing too) as if on a good connection day, my hours aren't long enough *sigh*

So what to do? Work continues even with a broken tool.

Actually I did have something significant that I wanted to blog on today, but after I at last managed to log in here, I have totally forgotten what I wanted to say. You say suey or not?

Sien ahhhh and it's only the second day. Sumore Bloomberg.com says internet services in Asia may take 2 weeks to return. By then I'm 3/4 dead oredi!

Beautifying With Outdoor Teak Furniture

Last month, my sister's house was finally completed. It took only six months to build from scratch. Her boss, as promised really paid everything to beautify her garden, and one of the first items bought was furniture outdoor teak of Grade A solid teak; teak that was imported directly and manufactured by the leading outdoor furniture designer and maker, BeFurnished.

My sister was very happy with the gift, because teak wood is very durable and can last a long time even when exposed in outdoors and teak does not require special treatment or care to maintain its beauty.

Moreover, they were able to have the furniture custom made to their liking. When it was completed, the furniture set was delivered to her home free of charge.

Stretching My Money

Do you know how I get to save money during gift-giving seasons like the Christmas just past? Well, I shop online using coupons! Last week, I bought a Dell Inspiron™ E1505 Notebook and managed to save 20% off regular retail price, just by using the Dell coupon! My mother is happy with her gift, and I am happy with the savings.

I browse CouponChief.com regularly as I am always looking for good deals and best buy coupons. Sometimes I managed to get a discount off clothes from Target. The best thing is Target has no minimum purchase restriction.

Now that you know my secret, what are you waiting for?

Christmas Greetings

How many Christmas cards did you get? I only received one. And I figure I'd be getting another, a belated one, after the New Year, cos my friend e-mailed to tell me that his card, an annual ritual, will be late this year. Hah... and I thought I was the only one with work up to my nose.

So it's a total of two only. No e-cards, no nothing. Oh yeah, my friend sent me the SMS that went like this: Jingle Pau, Jingle Pau, Jingle Char Siew Pau, Lin Yoong Pau, Tau Sar Pau, Siew Mai, Lo Mai Kai .... that really cracked me up.

I remember last time when we were in primary school, my friends and will eagerly wait for school to reopen (Christmas always fall on the year end holidays) and compare how many Christmas cards we received. The same for Chinese New Year. Only thing we did not compare was Valentine's Day card. Thank God for me.

Thinking back, that's so childish. We thought that the ones who get the most cards are the most popular, which is logical also.

Now, the only thing I compare is the amount I get as Chinese New Year angpow. It does not help having friends with rich parents. Bah It hurts, trust me. I will always tell my mother that so-and-so received a total of xxxx angpow, but my mother never gets the hint *sigh*

Because my angpow never goes above RM50, for this coming Chinese New Year, I will give myself a big fat present :-)

Importance of Dental Plan

My sister, who lives in Alexandria, told me about Hayfield Dental Care, a dental clinic with dentists that have received advanced and specialty training, so all dental work can be done in one clinic, instead of being referred to another clinic to have one thing done, and to yet another clinic to have something else done.

Moreover, Hayfield Dental Care is equipped with the latest and most advanced materials and equipment, it does not matter what problem a patient has, it can be addressed in Hayfield Dental Care, even emergency cases.

This is a concept that I long to have in Malaysia.

Saving For a Las Vegas Holiday

The members of a community forum that I am a member of have planned to go to Las Vegas for a member-greet-member gathering. We have local Las Vegas members and they will be our hosts.

Most of us have never been to Las Vegas before and we're all very excited about it. However, what is more exciting that ever is that our hosts tell us that they have already bought
Professional Bull Riders Finals tickets. They told us that the Professional Bull Riders Finals will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada and it is a major event in the city and since we will be around during that time, it is an opportunity too hard to miss.

Coming from Malaysia, where we do not have bull riding, we are all very excited to be watching our first ever bull rides, and the finals too boot!

We're so lucky to have understanding hosts who have taken the trouble to plan our holiday so well and try to pack in as many activities as possible in our short stay.

Our hosts also managed to get us discounted tickets to the Professional Bull Riders Finals to be held in Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas, Nevada due to early booking.

All we need to do now is to save up enough money in these eleven months so that our holiday will be as enjoyable as possible!

My Communication Is Cut Off!

When my friend informed me last night that tsunami is heading towards the Philippines, I told him not to go to the beach side. I was not overtly concerned. Of the two Filipina friends that I have, one is married to a Malaysian, one to a British.

Little did I know that the earthquake in Southern Taiwan will affect us like it did some years ago. Communication is cut off once again! The damage to the undersea internet cable is expected to take three weeks to repair. For people like me who depend on the internet to put food on the table, three weeks is like three lifetimes!

This morning, when the connection was not as bad as it is now, it took me three hours to log in to PPP and I saw high paying opps. F****** hell I couldn't take them. And my earnings was zero on Christmas Day. Why can't these opps come out on Christmas Day? Why can't the internet cable be damaged tomorrow?

GGGGGrrrr

My friend used to tease me that if anyone wants to marry me, he only needs to provide me with a computer and internet access as dowry. I need to up that to include all mobile internet gadgets and satellite internet access.

If I don't have so many on going internet activities, besides PPP I won't be jumping up and down now.

P/S: I can access Blogger.com but I can't access my own blog.

Advancement in Technology

Thanks to today's medical advances, there are many pharmaceutical drugs available to cure almost any disease that may afflict a person. However, due to lack of time, many doctors fail to explain fully the effects a drug may have on a patient.

With a free web-based drug and formulary reference guide like Epocrates, clinicians and patients alike can have access to information on any drug at all.

Take Effexor as an example. You can find out the reaction of Effexor with other drugs, and right down to an image of the Effexor pill. This is what we call advancement in technology.

Monitoring MySpace Activities

My niece, at only ten years old, has just started using the computer. She recently discovered MySpace after her elder sister left the computer idle. Her parents became worried when she registered herself in a social network like MySpace because people of all ages and intentions could easily access members' supposedly personal information. My niece is too young to understand the implications of mixing with people online, or know that what people tell her online is not gospel.

So I recommended her parents to install Spector Pro, PC Magazine's award winning software. It is the only software that is able to record activities of both parties. My niece's and the people she comes into contact with in MySpace.

Not only can it record
myspace chat, it can also record other activities like profile viewing and sending private messages.

Her parents were relieved that they are finally able to monitor their child's MySpace activity without seemingly looking over her shoulder.

Merry Christmas!!!

My friend, who resides in Toronto, Canada, sent me this shot which was taken during one of the activities of the Cavalcade of Lights, which started on Nov 25th and will end on 31st Dec, 2006.

The 40th annual Cavalcade of Lights presented by Scotiabank sets Toronto aglow with a month-long calendar of spellbinding events including spectacular fireworks, sparkling lighting displays and a holiday tour of Toronto's picturesque neighbourhoods.

In the photo, French artist Xavier de Richemont illuminates the Old City Hall, one of Toronto's most prominent buildings, with a 15 minute projection show.

And it is in this mood, I wish all my blog readers, especially those who take the trouble to comment, special mention to _butt and Angel O-liuliu, to the fat one who encouraged me to blog on and to the one who discovered me behind this blog (bleh to u), to those who gave me some link love and every one who drops by sometimes, a very Merry Christmas.

Feel embraced!

Christmas Music

It's the time of the year to bring out the Christmas albums that are only brought out & played one week per year. Somehow, Christmas is not the same without the jingles. Only these jingles can put us in the mood for Christmas because there's no snow here. No white Christmas here in Malaysia, so boring. Bah!

Anyway, my favourite Christmas album has always been Bon Jovi's Christmas compilation released a few years back. I like rock songs so their Christmas Rock is perfect to be played on Christmas Eve night entering Christmas Day.

It's a highly carefree danceable tune.

I image if there's a chance for me to have a Christmas party in my own home, this is the album that I will be playing the whole night through.

Printer Dilemma

My printer, an old model Canon, is going to conk out on me and I still haven't decided what my next brand will be and which model. Shall I go with Epson or HP this time? I heard that both print vibrant colour photos. I am also uncertain if I should go for ink cartridges or inkjet cartridges.

I have been using
ink cartridges, maybe I should change?

My concern about changing printer is not so much the function but the cost of maintenance, especially the high price of ink cartridges! I don't want to buy a cheap printer and then find out later that I have to pay an arm to replace the ink cartridges.

This is my current dilemma.

Christmas Wishes

Here's a list of what I want and don't want for Christmas:

I want a .......
1. Digital camera
2. LCD Screen
3. LG Pink Chocolate
4. Car
5. House

I want to have more time for myself, I want to be able to go away somewhere, as I like.

I don't want to lose people around me. I want to know that although I don't have much time to keep in touch with friends, I like to know that they are just an e-mail, or a phone call/sms away.

I want to know that the people around me are dependable and will help me willingly should I require assistance.

I want my monkeys to be healthy and happy.

I want the ability to make better decisions. I had errors in judgment twice these past two months that made me lose out on a lot of profit. I don't wish this to happen again.

I know that I have done my best as humanly possible. Now I can only depend to the power of prayer.

SameDayPC For All My PC Woes

Talk to me about computing and anything electronic or gadgetry and I'm like a fish out of water. I have a fear of buying these things because I was afraid that I will never be able to utilize them fully and they will be left to collect dust only.

All these changed after I was introduced to SameDay PC. I can now have English-speaking professional help at only a minimal cost 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, even during the holidays! This is great! As my luck would have it, my PC always gives me problems in the middle of the night. Next time this happens, I'll just call
SameDayPC - 24/7 Tech Support. Now, I don't have to irritate my friends!

One thing I like about SameDayPC is their flat rate service. There's no other hidden charge. It's only $129 for PC Tune Up, which is what I need, as my PC has been running rather slow lately.

If I ever go wireless, I will also be depending on SameDayPC to do the dirty work for me. It's only an affordable $79. And it will save me lots of headache too!

Ringgit is Gaining Strength. Bad News?

On 23rd December, 2006, Business Times reported that the Ringgit posed the strongest gain against the USD since nine years ago when the Ringgit was pegged against the USD. It was finally unpegged approximately a year and a half ago.

The strength of the Ringgit is said to be partly due to the recent capital restrictions imposed by Thailand, which caused regional stock markets to fall. Luckily KLSE recovered the following day! GGGrrrrrrrrr

How will this affect us bloggers and website owners?

Of course our revenue from writing reviews and from Google AdSense will be much lower after the conversion. Most of us already have to pay a hefty 3.9% + USD0.30 service charge to receive funds via Paypal, and because Malaysia is such a good country, Paypal refuses to allow us to link to our local bank accounts, hence we again need to pay a second round of service charge or interest or whatever, just to cash out from Paypal.

It is indeed ridiculous that Electronic Funds Transfer payments from Google Adsense have been extended to four new countries (Czech Republic, Finland, Israel, and Slovakia) recently but not Malaysia.

Paypal, Google Adsense & Click bank are all the same. Bah!

Stand Out With Audio Resume

As a job-seeker in this competitive market, my friend told me that I have to be different and stand out from the rest of the crowd. He told me to make an audio resume. It will definitely attract more attention than a piece of paper.

I went to the website provided to Learn More About Audio Resume and was impressed by the service. For $9.95 only, I created my audio resume by dialing into a toll-free number and answering five general interview questions.

Prospective employers can now access my audio resume by going to my unique URL. I love the service. I hope prospective employers will be impressed with ME!

F Celcom, F the Agents

Last night I tried to reload my prepaid mobile line but I received an error message asking me to contact customer careline. So I thought maybe their server is down since Christmas is just round the corner and sometimes we do face problems during peak time.

After awhile I tried again, and received the same error message. So I called the customer careline that was given in the error message but it there was no option for me to talk to a human being.

I had to search for their number elsewhere and after being put on hold for about ten minutes, finally someone attended to me. I was told that my line was barred because I did not register it.

I was like, "WTF???"

I registered it way back in July with one of their agents and even received the RM5 credit bonus from Celcom and now they tell me that I DID NOT register?

Come on la, if I did not register, did he think I would be so smart to reload it?

Anyways, he told me that what he can do for me is to do a pre-registration for me over the phone. Asked me for my personal particulars but he told me to go to the Celcom office to do a proper registration.

He also told me that I have to wait four hours for my line to be unbarred.

I was like... HAH? But it's not my damn fault, why must I wait four hours? I told him, I want to reload NOW. I want to use my phone NOW.

What makes me angry is not that I do not have use of the phone when I want to but that they want me to go to their office to register, when I already did.

Last month, I was at a fair and there were lots of Celcom agents going around helping with the registration. One approached me and asked if I'm using Celcom but I told her that I already had my registration done.

Now they tell me that it's not registered! Imagine what would have happened if I only reloaded my credit after 31st December, 2006?

FFFFFFFfffffff

Oh yeah, my line was unbarred after only ten minutes but still ......

FFFFFfffffffffff

A Cruise Holiday

A friend of mine takes his family on holidays at the end of the year annually. It's like his family's tradition already. After so many trips, he ran out of places to go. I suggested that he go on a cruise although I am also as clueless as him about cruises.

So we checked out
Cruise Travel Online.

We found a website that has every piece of information we need regarding cruise and sea travel, shipping lines, about insurance and deals, the differences between a vacation on a family cruise and luxury cruise.

We also learnt that vacation packages on cruises are all-inclusive, except for alcoholic beverages. This way, we do not have to be afraid of hidden charges.

After reading everything on Cruise Travel Online, my friend is of course sold to the idea now.

Marketers Make Me Feel Like A Loser

Some time back, I wanted to participate in a viral marketing thingy. They were giving out USD10 for sharing a real life experience of dining out at a fast food chain in my cowtown. They also required us to post a photo of the food, but me... never eaten at this chain before and did not have any photo.

But I thought I'd try to find one somehow, somewhere. At least my referrer will receive USD2 from my participation.

I searched all over the net and there was nothing suitable. Deployed a few friends to help, and they too cannot come up with any photo for me. Then I finally found one; a photo of three burgers, and I had to ask someone to tell me what burgers are these? I can't tell one from another.

My friend was shocked and said, "WHAT? Like that also you don't know??!!??" And he followed that by rubbing it in, "No wonder you are always unhappy la... never eaten Happy Meals before, how to be happy?"

Duh! In the first place, I'm not unhappy, and if I were, it definitely is not because I did not eat Happy Meals. Pah! Stuff the viral marketing lah!

Boosting Her Immune System

Since last year when my niece moved from Singapore to live with us, she has been rather sickly, and seeing the doctor almost every week. We were worried about her as she is so young and had to take so much antibiotics, which will in turn tax her kidneys.

Her grandmother then decided to put her on
Glycosure for a healthier Immune System.

It really did work. Within 2 - 4 days, there was significant improvement to her general health and she did not have to go to the doctors anymore.

She is also more energetic and alert. We were all very relieved and happy for her.

Can People Be Crueler?

Sometimes things happen that shock us and we wonder, can people be crueler?

I must admit, I wouldn't even know of this dog named Joy, if I was not alerted by a friend. This news article came out in The Star on 21st December, 2006. Click on the screenshot for the full report.

Any sane person would not have done this to another living being. Do the perpetrators think that they are a level above this dog? A dog or any other animal for that matter has just the same rights to live in this world.

Humans are supposedly more intelligent and the more able of us should look out for those who are not as fortunate but what has this shown us?

We should not do things in the name of religion. No religion in the world teaches us to be violent against each other or animals. If these Indons think that they are any better than Joy, they should just take a look at the mirror.

I, along will other bloggers who have blogged on this issue, call for an end to this ignorance of animal welfare and their rights.

Please help to spread this message of kindness and hope in support of Ms. Sabrina Yeap's untiring efforts.

Going For A Portable Digital Radio

I was and still am a shortwave junkie. Although there's the TV and computer now, nothing beats the mystery of the radio, especially short, medium and long wave radio. It still amazes me that a small box like the radio can reach out to all corners of the world far and wide.

So far, I have accumulated quite a few digital radios, having upgraded from analogue ones. Digital radios make radio listening pain free as stations can be preset and broadcasts can be crystal clear without hissing noise and less propagation.

As usual,
Choosing a new digital radio will very much depend on what budget I have. I'm going for a portable digital radio this time as the ones I have now are all desktop models which are heavy and bulky. I always have to leave them behind when I travel.

Pinging Project Petaling Street

How long ago was it since I last ping-ed PPS? I don't even remember, unless I do a search.

I guess a lot of people are very happy now without my presence. I heard there were people who complained against me for flooding the page. Humpp not much worse than others wut...

Maybe it's because I'm nobody in the blogging world lah.

Anyway, I did not ping not because I'm afraid of being complained against or banned or whatever. It's because the internet has been so crappy, to access one page, I'd have to hit F5 too many times. And I'm too busy to keep waiting for pages to load.

It's getting boring. The less I use the net the better.

Detoxify!

In our daily living, we accumulate a lot of toxins in our body due to the food we take and the air we breathe. We won't escape from these even if we stay indoors forever.

That's why it's healthy to clear the toxins regularly and a good way is to Detoxify your body with Enzymecorrect.

Enzymecorrect is a pharmaceutical-grade product BUT without causing harmful side-effects to our body like most pharmaceutical drugs.

I tried Living Remedies™ EnzymeCorrect™ and found that it promotes digestion and elimination and also provides nutrients to my body's organs. Within two days of taking this, there was significant improvement in the elimination part! I was very happy with the results!

Comparing Personal Loans

The other day, a friend of mine took out a car loan to buy his dream car. When he asked for our advice, we told him to stay away from a car loan as it is one of the most expensive personal loans but he did not listen, and went ahead with it.

As it was a luxury car, the loan amount was rather huge. What's worse is his very colourful credit history.

Since he was adamant, we went online to help his search for loan reviews and try to get the best loan deal for him by reading up on UK Personal loans and comparing what loans are available to him.

My Mind Is Blank Already

Last night I was working at the computer until 3am and I really fell asleep in front of the computer a few times and even nearly fell off my chair. Actually my life has been so topsy turvy since three or four years ago and there was a period of time, I slept standing up!

At least now I have better control but then I find that the older I am, the harder it is for me to stay up late.

I will write more when I have the time. Now my hands are aching and I feel the onset of carpal tunnel syndrome. Woohoo I wanna report child abuse.

And oh, I just remembered that Il Divo will be performing in KL soon! They are my current favourite male group! SO unfair! GGGGrrrrrr

The Good & Bad of Credit Cards

I have a few credit cards, and if I am not smart to control my finances, I know I have credit card debts up to my nose. I have seen it happen to my friends and colleagues before. They hold high paying jobs, some of their pay packets are three times more than mine, and yet their credit card debt is so much, while I make it a point to settle my bills at the end of each month.

Well, apart from being clever in managing my finances and living within means, I do keep in touch with
credit card news and take credit card advice from reputable websites. This way, I always get the best out of my cards.

Shitting All Over The Internet

Recently, I contemplated moving the contents of this blog to a new paid host because I feel that my readers are overwhelmed by the sponsored posts. Heck, even I myself am overwhelmed, but it's actually only two posts a day, you know?

I thought that I could publish the same post in two blogs. One here, to satisfy the advertisers, since this is an approved blog, and one over at my new blog, which will not have sponsored posts.

But then I was told that I can't do that or my blogs will be penalised by search engines. Well, I don't know what that will mean, maybe when people search for fried sperm, my blog will be displayed in the last page of Google or something.

And I don't want to stop publishing here and leave my blog all over the internet, it's akin to shitting all over the place. And I spent two whole days looking for and perfecting this template!

Anyway, I am thinking to move all my old contents over to my new blog and keep them as drafts, and publish new content there, separated from what I publish here.

I don't know if I can keep up with this, especially with setting up a Word Press powered blog which I have no freaking knowledge of. I don't even have the time to go researching on the net, asking people or going by trial and error.

I wish there's someone to do the dirty work for me and do it the way I like it to be. I just want to blog like how I'm doing now.

So, setting up a new blog will take some time. I'm like a fish out of water. Bah!

Lower Blood Pressure With Pressurelow

My dad has been suffering from high blood pressure for years. I don't remember him not taking any medication to control his pressure. He told me that it runs in his family and that all his siblings have higher than normal blood pressure.

Recently, a friend of mine recommended me Living Remedies™ Herbal Blend. She told me that her parents are taking this herbal supplement and it works even better than conventional pharmaceutical drugs as these are extracts from herbs and do not cause harmful side effects to the body.

When I heard of her positive testimonial, I too urged my dad to try it. He has nothing to lose anyway. High blood pressure is not known as the silent killer for nothing.

Luckily, he listened to my advice and on his next medical check up at the clinic, the doctor has reduced his dosage of drugs. My dad has
Lower blood pressure with Pressurelow and also showed signs of an increased energy level and feeling of well being.

How To Withdraw Funds From Paypal?

Today, a fellow blogger asked me how do I withdraw funds from my Paypal. I know this is a major concern for most of us in Malaysia and other countries who have been sidelined by Paypal.

Until today, there is no way for a Malaysian with Malaysian bank a/c to withdraw funds from Paypal. People who have studied overseas before can easily link it to their overseas bank a/c. Lucky for them.

Some go to Singapore to open an account. And some open a US bank account without going to the US physically, but I personally think that it's risky.

This
post by Cyberpartygal reveals how one can open a US bank a/c (people are selling this info), you know!

There are some who sells their Paypal funds in exchange for RM where the buyer will bank in the money into Seller's local bank. This can be done only if you can trust the buyer.

As for me, I am going to use my funds to pay for merchandise on behalf of friends and they will pay me RM into my local savings account. Since we are friends, we do not profit from the exchange rate (unlike buying - selling of funds).

After that, I am still undecided. I'm trying to find a way where I do not lose too much due to service charges.

I'm Off to London Soon!

I'll be visiting London soon all by myself. Well, I like the holiday but I hate the preparation. One thing that gives me headache is finding the right (as in price and location) hotel in London. I heard that the rates of Hotels in London UK are high.

Luckily i have friends and relatives who have been to London before whom I can ask and bang on their experience as a resident and as a tourist.

They told me to look up Hotel Shop UK, a specialist in last minute UK hotel breaks. I was grateful for the information, of course!

Please Gimme Some Link Love

I'm actually losing out a lot of good payout opportunities due to my PageRank of 3. Not enough wor. The high paying opportunities are usually only seeking PR4 and above leh.

So how? I need some link love, everybody! This blog has been stuck at PR3 forever. I need to bring it to the next level, but then it will only be turning eight months old this New Year's Day.

I wish I have a twin who can use my ID and leave comments all over other people's blogs.

A Worry-Free Pregnancy

A friend of mine was expecting her first baby and naturally she and her husband were a little worried about the Cost of Having a Baby.

Their nurse told them that it's very important to have a comprehensive maternity service package since a MaternityCard enables them to have a discount on medical plans and it will greatly help reduce the cost of having a baby.

A MaternityCard has benefits for the expectant mother in any medical matter related to her pregnancy including doctor visits, lab tests, sonograms, pre-natal vitamins and even fertility therapy.

At a low monthly fee, my friend did subscribe to it, and she and her husband are now worry-free.

And I Thought Weekends Were For Resting

I envy people who get to sleep in every Saturday and Sunday morning. These are also the people who get to stay out late partying and socialising or joyriding every Friday and Saturday nights. These are the people who have not a worry at all.

Me, I bust my butt every single day of the week and work my fingers to the bone. As mentioned, I have a lot of catching up to do and that's what I've been trying to do in the past two years.

Only problem is that I'm so wrapped up in my own world slogging ahead, I've kinda neglected some important people yet I don't feel like I have to proof to people what I am about and it's a chore to keep explaining myself.

Sometimes I get stupid questions like this, "Why did you go to bed at 5am? You promised that you'd be in bed by 1am!"

That pisses me off. Yeah, so I did, but so what? If I could, I would have been in bed by midnight, even 10pm, happy? Who the hell does he think he is to question me like that? I don't see him helping me with my work and lessen my duties so that I can even be in bed by 9pm. For goodness sake, I'm single and my time is my own. Or it should be!

Computer Virus Problem

I've been having this problem with viruses since I started using the computer, because I click all the links that come in via e-mail and messengers. I thought I am safe from all these viruses, trojans, hacks and what nots because I already have an anti-virus running.

Recently, my computer slowed down so much, it was practically crawling. Even programs were slower in launching and it just drove me nuts.

My friend told me to go and
Download Norton Anti virus 2007 which I did. After the installation, I did a thorough scan of my computer and on my, did it find so many different viruses.

Help Me To Get The Lizard Out

Believe it or not, there's a lizard trapped in my closet and I can't get him out. I am too busy and can't afford the time to move everything out of the closet, chase the stupid lizard out and put everything back in. I think I need a maid to do this for me.

There are too many clothes and stuff inside, every time I buy something new, I just stuff them in and I never remove the old, unused or wrong-sized stuff. Even the torn clothes are still in there year after year until I have the time and mood to do a thorough decluttering. I am notorious for breaking cupboards and shelves.

Some times however, when I can't stand my mom's nagging anymore, I'd just pull some stuff out and give them away to those charitable homes, and then later, I would be looking for that particular item because I don't even remember which item I gave away!

Going back to the issue of this lizard, I wish there's some chemical I can just leave inside the closet and the smell would overwhelm it and he'd leave the closet at his own free will. Right now, it's having a field day shitting inside!

I Am Free Tonight. Are You?

Being adventurous, I registered with IAmFreeTonight.com to try out Online Dating. This is not your typical social site. In fact, it is rather unique in the sense that you can specify when you want to meet another member. It could be tonight, or tomorrow night. There is no precious time wasted just emailing back and forth getting to know each other better. IAmFreeTonight is instant.

Moreover, IAmFreeTonight.com enables couple dates and group dates in just a few clicks. Just input your zip code and when you want the date to be, and what activity you would like to do. It could be something as simple as eating pizza together or something more adventurous like going to the casino.

I can't wait to try this out :-)

Crack Down On Loan Sharks. Finally?

It's in the news today that the police are going to start cracking down on loan sharks now that the deadline to register mobile phone users has ended.

I'm not going to give a link to the news report as it will be a dead link after thirty days anyway.

So, the first paragraph implies that the police were not effective in nabbing loan sharks as they were using prepaid lines. But actually there are gadgets that can tap the signal of mobile phones.

Whatever the case, hopefully this time they will really do what they say they'll do. We do not need case after case of suicide due to harassment from loan sharks and what not.

The pressure must have been overwhelming for someone to make a decision to take his own life despite knowing it does not solve a thing.

Natural Remedy For Gout

My uncle has been suffering from gout off and on for years. He refused to see a doctor, afraid to take injections and in rare times that we managed to make him get a medical consultation, the pills prescribed by the doctor are always left untouched.

Knowing that he s a gout patient makes no differenec to him as he doesn't listen to the doctor on what
gout foods to avoid.

We were worried until another family member, who is into natural herbal remedy introduced Living Remedies™ Herbal Blend.

Surprisingly, he wasn't stubborn about taking this herbal blend. We could see improvement within two days, all of us heave a sigh of relieve.

Somebody Please Halt Time For Me

Christmas is drawing closer and closer and I'm damn feeling the pressure. There are stuff that I should get done way before Christmas and it's sort of like an annual routine. Just stuff that gotta be done. It's now a week to Christmas and the deadline was Friday, yesterday, and I still haven't got it started.

No doubt it's not a crime even if I didn't do it but I feel very bad as it's my responsibility to see to it every year and this year, I am late. I will get to it, but it will be late. And my excuse will again be that I am busy. Yes, indeed very busy that I am sleeping at 5am and waking at 8am. I can survive, but the question is for how long?

I hope that in the new year (2007), the pressure will be off a little. The debt schedule will be met only at the end of 2007 but then we'll have to start on another one, only difference is that the amount will be less. At least it's my hope that it can be negotiated to be lesser than what we are saddled with right now.

Good News For Webmail.us

This is good news indeed for Webmail.us, a leading provider of email hosting services in America. Webmail.us has been selected by PGA (Professional Golf Association) of America to provide email services to all members of PGA America.

As members of PGA America are dispersed all across America, using a singular email provider will help the promote communication between members, PGA officials and golfers.

Webmail.us which normally hosts more than 30,000 small and medium businesses has now added another 10,000 PGA membership email accounts to their business.

Shut Your Mouth

I recently wrote about a company, which has a website that I am a member of. In my article, I wrote that another company has better benefits and although I am a registered member, I am not active in there. I am just dormant.

This morning, I coincidentally received an email from them with the subject title: Shut Your Mouth.

Eh, I was taken aback! How did they know of my article when I did not even mention the company's name or link their website to any part of my article? You can image my surprise and my heart skipped a beat. I am a peace lover and hate confrontations.

So, I rubbed my eyes a bit and saw that the actual title is "Shut Your MONTH"... aiya I gave myself a fright. Mouth and Month only has a one-letter difference and my, are the meanings used in this context so different!

Good News To The Staff

Earlier this year at the company I work in, it was very chaotic as there were rumors that the company wasn't doing well financially and they were thinking of laying off staff.

However, in the subsequent months, things became better and I heard from a senior management staff that they adopted the corporate performance management solution of Acorn Systems to analyze in depth where the problem lies and where the profit comes from.

After obtaining the results, they were able to take effective measures to raise the performances of each employee, supplier, product, facility, transaction and inventory control.

But the most important thing is that they managed to locate the losing activities and steps were taken to curb that pronto. Of course, this is all good news to all of us.

I'm Off to Scottsdale, Arizona!

Last year, my friend, a baseball freak, told me about the San Francisco Giants Spring Training he attended and he was full of stories and excitement about the matches that he watched since he is such a huge fan of SF Giants.

This year, he told me that San Francisco Giants Spring Training will be at Scottsdale Stadium in Arizona, USA and he told me that he has saved enough for the two of us to attend! He has even planned our trip in detail, from air flight to accomodation right down to a pair of
Giants Spring Training tickets.

Oh my God, I'm so excited! Although I am not as huge a fan of baseball as him, I am still more than happy to accompany him! Who wouldn't love a free trip right? And I've been longing for a vacation anyway!

I can't wait to go to Arizona to cheer for his favorite team, the San Francisco Giants!

Ku Mohon ~ Foo Hee Boon

It's been almost 4.5 months since my friend, Foo Hee Boon, passed away. I know many people still miss him. I do too. His number and SMS are still in my mobile phone. Even his e-mail addresses are still in my address book. I don't know when I will have the heart to delete these contacts *sigh*

Some of you may know that he was featured in the popular Astro programme called "Ku Mohon" which was aired in late July, 2006. His episode was the first in this series to be aired because he was their main star. That's his own words.

Due to popular request, Astro is going to air it once more on Astro Ria (Channel 4 Astro) on 18th December, 2006 (Monday) at 21:00 pm.

To those who missed the first run, or those who would like to watch it a second time, don't miss this chance. This is a show of inspiration. Please help to spread the word.

Boon, may you be happy wherever you are.

Natural Remedy For IBS

Last week, a friend of mine was suffering from irritable bowel syndrome and was looking for a remedy. As she was not keen to take conventional medication, she sought out a natural remedy called Digestisolve, which is said to be the best all-natural remedy on the market.

As soon as she took the first dose, she reported some gradual improvement, and in less than two days, her condition improved significantly. Not only did she no longer feel bloated, she did not have to suffer from embarrassing flatulence as well.

As she has been suffering from IBS off and on for so many years now, she is so happy to have found a natural remedy that does not harm her body with chemicals. She is now bent on taking DigestiSolve long term for a complete relief.

The Winner of The LG Pink Chocolate ISSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I don't know who and I don't want to know. All I know is it won't be me *sob*

Minishorts announced the
ten short listed entries for the LG Pink Cholocate she is giving away on 13th December, 2006.

I'm so disappointed I'm not one of the top ten. I think I wrote pretty neat entries, and had a good shot at the prize.

I really cracked my head for the three entries and yet none made it. *sob*

You all read and judge and tell me lah, are my entries better than the top ten finalists???

1.
LG is a girl’s best friend b’cos…Life’s Good with LG and is even better when it is topped with PINK Chocolate!

2.
LG is a girl’s best friend b’cos…unlike men, it doesn’t go into a jealous fit and that is a good enough reason, isn’t it?

3.
LG is a girl’s best friend b’cos: unlike men, it doesn’t demand attention or give us hypertension.

I am a contest freak and I read that to win contests like this, we must always try to rhyme out slogan/tagline whatever, because judges love rhymes, but this time, it didn't work. Bah!

See now, I will NEVER own the LG Pink Chocolate because knowing me, I'll never buy it for myself. :-/

What's a Bored Blogger To Do?

Well, she analyses her traffic and check out the search terms that direct traffic to her blog.

I get a kick out of seeing people searching for Fried Sperm. Shall I create more new recipes for these perverts? lol

Sometimes there are so many people from all over the world searching for a similar keyword that I wonder what's wrong? Has something happened that I do not know of, but it's not in the newspapers either?

It scares me to know that there's someone searching for "anonymous crap sheet"... do I have a stalker? LOL

Sometimes I see someone reading my blog post by post and I wonder, "Who is this person? Does he/she know me or suspect this blog is mine? Oh oh, have I been discovered?"

Sometimes it's better not to know!

TravisFlex Has A New Look!

TravisFlex is a software that is very useful to healthcare managers and administrators as it handles Healthcare Account such as Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA), Healthcare Savings Accounts (HSA), Dependent Care Accounts (DCAP) among others.

All these years, it has been using an interface that was like the standard Windows 95 look and feel. It's very plain but it works and nobody complained.

However, earlier this month, the people behind TravisFlex decided it's high time to uplift the software and so they released version 8.0, with a fresh and professional looking interface and compatible with the new Windows Vista Operating System.

If you are a TravisFlex user, upgrade to the new TravisFlex 8.0 for a professional look.

What to do ah???

I've got a problem.

Last month, a buddy asked me to buy something on his behalf, so I did.

Then later, I asked him for the money. It's less than MYR20 only so I was not chasing for it. Then last week, again, I hinted that I have not received the money, but he said he paid me back already, and I went, "No la, that's for another item. For this item not yet."

He said, "Oh yeah ah? I pay you now."

So I felt very odd and tried to recall last month's events and realised that he did indeed pay me back a few days after I bought the item for him.

Now I feel so bad for having received the money twice.

I don't even know if I should tell him my mistake or not, or just keep quiet. I thought I'd keep quiet and just treat him to a meal next time or buy him a gift but he has taken a two year hiatus to go backpacking so it'll be a long while before I see him again.

By the time I see him, I'd have forgotten about the money again!

I can't even bank in the money into his local bank account cos I don't have his account number and if I tell him that I want to return the money to him, he sure will ask me to keep it. But I don't want to take people's money like this. Aiya... very rice. Don't know how to solve this. I've got the email drafted but do I send it out or not?

I Finally Found Cheap Wedding Favors!

My cousin is a typical Malaysian girl who thinks it's a waste of money to give wedding favors but I told her that a wedding comes but once a lifetime and there has to be something for our guests to remember our wedding by.

She agreed after much persuasion and gave me a budget to work on so I went looking for
cheap wedding favors to match her budget.

I finally found The Knot Wedding Shop, a webstore that offers top-quality supplies and novelty items for weddings. Many of these special supplies can even be personalized for free with the bridal couple's names and wedding date which I think is pretty neat.

The vast range of supplies available is competitively priced as well, and can be bought for less than USD2 each, just perfect for my cousin's budget.

Too Many Girly Girl Phones

You know all along I've been saying how I heart the LG Pink Chocolate mobile phone? Well, now I have a few more choices to choose after reading the article on phones for girls. Although the Pink Chocolate is number one, there are four equally enticing girly girl phones that I can't decide which to get now!

Ejaculate Like A Porn Star

That is what I am told to do a few times EVERY SINGLE DAY!

How many of you also receive spam mail with this subject title? I wanted to ask them, male or female porn star, eh?

Although most spam mail are caught by Spam Guard and are assigned to the Spam Folder, I do make it a point to check that folder, as some times legitimate email are mistaken for spam.

It also gives me a chance to see what products people are currently touting. Looks like this month, it is some supplement or is it cream that can make people ejaculate like a porn star, however porn stars ejaculate. Not that I know, ok?

I wonder how many people actually take the time to read spam mail. I for one will just glance at their subject title and delete them all in one go. I wonder what percentages of people who do read them spam mail are converted into customers.

It must be quite a lot, otherwise why do people think it's worthwhile to send out mass email? For one, mass mail will usually fall into the Spam Folder and that itself eliminates a large number of people from even look at the subject title.

There are people like me who read the title then delete the mail. Then there are people who read the email, or even visit the link provided, but will not buy.

Aihhh it's tough even for spammers.

Relieving My Monkey's Stress and Anxiety

So the other day, after a bout of seizures, again I had to visit the vet. I hate to go to animal clinics because they tend to make me quite depressive.

As I mentioned, my monkey's seizure was triggered by stressed after three weeks of continuous rain, lightning and thunder, which he developed a fear for.

This time, the vet prescribed him with
Anivive, a pet stress and anxiety remedy that helped to reduce his stress. At first, I was rather apprehensive as I do not like to feed him anything extra in case it triggers his seizures, but I decided to trust my vet. Moreover, Anivive is a natural remedy and not conventional drug which usually causes more harm than good.

After only two days, my monkey showed significant improvement and I couldn't detect heart palpitation anymore. He wasn't so afraid of thunder anymore either. I am now banging on Anivive to bring back the monkey that he used to be.

I wish that I have known what to give him earlier so that this bout of seizures needn't have happened.

Streamyx SuXx Big Time Or What?

Earlier today, Streamyx was so crappy, I wanted to access so sites desperately but spent a few hours pressing F5 only did I manage to get the info that I wanted from those sites. It was not server problem as other people were able to access them, and it was not computer problem. Pah!

I just heard that MenJ is now a problogger. I wonder if he's using Streamyx? It's one of the most affordable broadband services in Malaysia but it's not that reliable. For me, if I were to make a living out of blogging, I'd sooner than later get blood pressure first.

If it's not the internet connection, then it's the server and what not, until I am not able to submit my assignments. Yup, it did happen before, no thanks to the snail speed of Streamyx. Better rebrand as Screamyx.

A Dog Needs A Bed Too

A member of our pet support group recently bought an orthopedic dog bed for his senior pet dog, upon the recommendation of the vet.

This guy has fashioned his own
dog beds and also bought dog beds but his doggie did not take to them so he was rather skeptical about getting another one but the vet told him to get a good quality, comfortable Mammoth dog bed for the dog's sake.

So, he decided to give it a shot, seeing that Mammoth dog beds are so popular and reasonably priced, he finally bought it for his beloved dog.

True enough, the dog took to the bed like a long lost pal thanks to its superior quality and comfort and providing him with the security that every dog craves.

A happy pet makes a happy owner and this guy has declared that his decision to buy a Mammoth dog bed is one of the best decisions he has made in his life.

Diaxol ~ Pet Diabetes

Spending so much time at the vet's lately, when my own monkeys were sick one after another, one can say, I ave seen all kinds og pet sickness. It is very depressing. But I am very thankful that in modern times where medicine is so advanced, that pet health is also a priority in medical research.

One of the pet owners whom I met regularly at the vet's is so relieved that his cat, who was diagnosed with
cat diabetes has been much happier lately, after being put on Diaxol, to control his cat's blood sugar levels.

Only pet owners and pets lovers know that feeling when we have found the right drug for our pets.

I Have Never Blogged This Much In My Life

Well, as you can see, since I participated in these review writing jobs, I have been blogging like mad, at least a new blog post a day. Although you need to sieve through sponsored content for my original posts, are you happy to read more of my original posts?

A few short months ago, I was so busy I went on a hiatus, and I actually felt bad for not blogging as much as I would love to. If I were again assign a task that would take up most of my time, I guess I will still maintain my pace in blogging, that is, if I still want to be in the game of writing reviews and stuff. There are requirements to meet, you see?

It's not easy to earn that few bucks lol but what I like about being part of this is that I am introduced to so many new (and established) websites and services that I have never actually heard of before. The internet is so vast; I don't have the time to go browsing around all the time.

Yeah, so I get to know of so many sites that after doing the review, I end up visiting them again and again like a regular surfer. Sometimes, I even think of buying stuff from their online store, but so far that hasn't happened yet hehehe

Keeping The Family Safe

It's scary to watch on tv what tornadoes can do to wreck havoc in an otherwise peaceful country like America. Sometimes, tornadoes like these come without warning and it's shocking to see the number of casualties rising as people are always caught unawares. At times like these, one tend to ask himself, "Is there any way, any way at all to protect ourselves against nature?"

It is always important to be prepared in life. Precaution is better than cure. I have always told my friends who are living in America to equip their homes with tornadoes safe shelters, like an
above ground storm shelter.

I told them that when they put the lives of themselves and their families on something like a saferoom, it is of utmost importance to look for storm shelters that are 100% reliable. There is no purpose in saving cost but get a shoddy piece of "shelter" in return.

I recommended FamilySAFE storm shelters to them as FamilySAFE is the oldest company to build a complete saferoom and their technology is unmatched. Moreover, their prices are very competitive too.

The Hazards of Asbestos

When my friend was diagnosed with lung cancer, being a non-smoker, we were all shocked. So we did a lot of research online and came across the term Mesothelioma, which is cancer of the lung as a result of asbestos exposure.

All these while, I do know that asbestos is bad for health but I couldn't tell why and how it is a hazard to health.

Then I cam across asbestosnews.com and from then onwards, this is the site I get all the Mesothelioma resources.

There are of course many similar websites of Mesothelioma resources. However, what makes asbestosnews.com my primary resources is because of its uncluttered layout and easy to comprehend articles. They are not written full of jargon which a lay person like me would not understand.

This site is also kept up to date with all newly discovered incidences of Mesothelioma and law suits by victims.

It is disheartening to know that the victims will continue to suffer from cancer caused by exposure to asbestos but at least with law suits featured like this, awareness is created and hopefully, cases of Mesothelioma can be reduced, if not totally eradicated.

I think everyone should bookmark asbestosnews.com and check back regularly as a constant reminder of the hazard that asbestos causes.

Monkey Up For Adoption

Aiya... give people free also no one wants.

A few days ago, he went into seizures again, three times in a row. It is always traumatic for me. I bet no one who has seen a bout of seizure will be able to forget the image captured in mind.

Every time it happens, I try to analyse the causes. Sometimes it could be fever, sometimes it could be bad food or something that caused him stress or trauma.

This time, I actually sort of expected it already. Lately, he has been afraid of lightning and thunder. He has lived for the past twelve years without fear of these but it developed recently when he was startled awake by a great thunder one day.

Since then, he has not been himself when it rains and you know how wet the weather has been for the past three weeks. So, every day, when it rains, I have a fearful monkey on my hands.

He got so worked up every day that it just builds up and this caused him to go into seizures. And for my monkey, each time he starts, he will get multiple seizures. Once, it even happened six times in a row. Three is normal. Once is a miracle.

Anyway, today during his fits, he caught the cable of my headphone between his jaws. There was no way I could pry them open without risking my fingers. He trashed around with my headphone in his mouth. After that, my headphone habis already. *sigh*

I don't know for how long more I can expose myself to such trauma myself.

Building Back Links

It's actually not that difficult or not that expensive to get your website to appear at the top of search engines if you know how to build back links. It's not exactly rocket science.

To build back links, you'll have to first identify the keywords or anchor text of the link that are related or inter-related to your website.

If you'd like a low cost method, you can try link baiting, where you write about a website, and HOPE that the other party gives you a reciprocal link.

The shortcut way is to get as many bloggers to write about you with these anchor text and pointing to your website and half the battle is won. This is where companies like Blogitive come in.

In Blogitive, advertisers can dictate what keywords or anchor text they would like bloggers to write about, for as low as USD5 per blog post.

When Google picks up these blog posts with your anchor text and pointing to your website, not only will you appear at the top of search engines, your page rank will rise too!

In A Quest To Raise My Credit Rating

As a person with low credit rating, I am always on the look out for ways to raise my credit score. Let me tell you, it's a long and touch struggle. I have bought so many e-books on the internet but unfortunately none of them worked. They did help to add 10 points the most, but that did not help my cause.

I was introduced to
Seasoned Trade Lines by a friend who raised 200 points in as little as two weeks! I am in awe! I would be happy if I could raise 200 credit points in 90 days.

I am confident
Seasoned Trade Lines can help me achieve that. When I have a good credit rating, it'll be easier for me to get loans and at better interest rates too.

Looking For A Good Hosting Plan

I mentioned somewhere (there's so much content, even I myself am lazy to go through old post one by one) in this blog that I'm gonna get my own domain name and host my own blog. Well, this has given me a headache for the past week.

Being a total n00b, I have no idea how I'm gonna go about it. I know how to purchase a domain name and I know I how to purchase a hosting package and that's about it. You say I feel like a loser or not?

Ask me about shares, ask me about horse racing but when we talk about hosting and computing and programming, duh, I'm like a fish out of water.

I don't even know how to go about transferring my current blog to my new blog and I'm even thinking of paying someone to do the dirty work for me but that wouldn't look good.

I wish there's someone to take care of all these decision making for me. I'm not someone who's too clever with making decisions and always end up making blunders. So, yeah, this non-paying post is open to anyone with knowledge on blog hosting.

Investing In Property Overseas

A friend of mine is so bloody rich, he has four cars and building a bungalow this month and it will only complete in 18 months' time. Can you imagine waiting for a year and a half for a house to complete?

I told him, since he has so much spare cash, why not invest it overseas? I even showed him the website address of
Compass Worldwide Property. Although it is a fairly new website, it has a very comprehensive database.

Most of their properties listed are in places that are very sought after, hence worth the investment.

We can even make a search according to our preference of minimum number of bedrooms, or according to our budget. It's all very easy to navigate.

My friend was very impressed with it and even thanked me for the tip off!

I am the Empress w00t!

A friend sent me the URL to a tarot card reading website recently. Somehow I like to read these things. They may be true, they may not be true but they sure make you feel good about yourself, even if it's for a second.

You are The Empress

Beauty, happiness, pleasure, success, luxury, dissipation.

The Empress is associated with Venus, the feminine planet, so it represents,
beauty, charm, pleasure, luxury, and delight. You may be good at home
decorating, art or anything to do with making things beautiful.

The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. While the Magician is the primal spark, the idea made real, and the High Priestess is the one who gives the idea a form, the Empress is the womb where it gestates and grows till it is ready to be born. This is why her symbol is Venus, goddess of beautiful things as well as love. Even so, the Empress is more Demeter, goddess of abundance, then sensual Venus. She is the giver of Earthly gifts, yet at the same time, she can, in anger withhold, as Demeter did when her daughter, Persephone, was kidnapped. In fury and grief, she kept the Earth barren till her child was returned to her.

What Tarot Card are You?
Take the Test to Find Out.

Somehow, no matter if they ask me to input my age or horoscope or whatever, I end up being told that I am a creator of beautiful things. Every reading tells me that my house is beautifully decorated. Hah They should take a look at my house. It's like a pig sty, of course that's thanks to the contribution of my two monkeys also lah

I can't wait to have my own home where I can decorate it the way I want, the way I like. And I do wish that can create beauty, then at least I can make myself more beautiful!

Monkey Arthritis

As many of my blog readers know, I have two senior monkeys. One suffered recently when he couldn't walk and was making a mess at home with his bodily waste. It was a very trying time for me and I did mention that I lost 5kg from taking care of him.

The vet told me that he couldn't walk due to arthritis. He suggested that we try
Projointin and we could see improvements within two days.

I was so happy when he could once again walk, albeit wobbly at first, but now, he's as good as new.

Finally, after two months, I can have peaceful nights.
